Axis Powers Hetalia is an online comic that is forever growing in popularity. It's about the various countries of the world, such as Germany, Japan, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, America, and the UK! It's like a big, adorable history book! <3

The name Axis Powers Hetalia derives from the Axis Powers of WWII (Germany, Japan, Italy), but where does the 'Hetalia' come in? It's a combination of the Japanese word hetare, meaning useless, and Italia! So, literally, the title is "Useless Italy of the Axis Powers!" But Axis Powers Hetalia is cuter, no?

The best thing about this community that's here on theOtaku is that you can pick a country, any country~! For example I (otakualchemist) will hereby refer to myself as America! <3 Ooooh, now, I have to introduce myself!

I am AMERICA! The most important country in the world on this very day! We get a new president, hurray, hurray! <3
