Self-Explanitory

I'm what the humans call a 'Power Mimicker.' A Digit who can take any other Digit's special 'gift' and use it against them. Too bad half of the powers all of us were given were useless.

The class was irrelevant to me. Really. How hard could it be to sap the power from someone else and use it as my own? Obviously I could just copy their motions, and everything would turn out exactly the same.

I was in the corridor of the military's Special Unit Study Hall, watching the Power Studies class from the window inset into the door. It was irritating how most of the 'students' were so enthusiastic about learning their abilities and everything. And by students, I'm talking about the Digits. We were thrown into this heck-hole by the experimentalists, and had been in this good-for-nothing base ever since we were created.

The humans made me sick. They felt they were so superior that they could create the Digits to do their bidding. "To make the world a better and cleaner place," they had said. So they had given all of us Digits a power that would help them 'clean up the world' and 'put an end to all the corruption and crime.'

I almost laughed right out loud then. Creating something to destroy all the bad things on Earth would definitely go wrong. It was beyond predictable.

But as I was saying; Learning how to use your power was useless, there wasn't any need to go to a class that was explaining something that was already pretty obvious.

My motorcycle was leaning up against the side of the hall, its silver rims glinting under the flickering florescent light of bulbs hanging from the ceiling. They weren't allowed at the base, but here at the Special Units, the humans were too afraid to do anything to us Digits. Especially when they knew that we could kill them if we really wanted to.

The bike roared to life as I put the key in the ignition and jumped on at the same time. Pushing off from the wall, I accelerated through the hallway towards the entry doors. Easily, I stuck a hand out, pushing open the front door so that I could ride straight out into the stormy weather.

Large drops of rain pelted my head and blurred my vision, but I knew my way to the Numbers' dorms by heart, coasting around a couple of corners before I got to them. The dorms, of course, were completely empty. No one ever realized that they could ditch classes without getting into the least bit of trouble.

I could feel myself smirk unconsciously as I dismounted the bike and propped it up behind a tall birch tree. The next couple hours were completely free for me to do whatever I pleased.
