"And... There we go!" I smirked and brushed my hands together triumphantly. I had just set up my latest prank and whoever opened the classroom door next was gonna get covered in goo. From inside the classroom I heard the song of the class going on. My power as the ninth Digit was enhancement. I was stronger and faster than anyone else, and my senses were incredibly sharp. And if that wasn't enough, I was the number one jokester on campus.
When class ended I gleefully hid myself behind an open classroom door. Ayre was the first one to exit the room... Crap, she probably already saw what was coming... But when she came out of the room nothing happened.
"Huh?! It always works!" I muttered out loud. Everyone else followed right behind her, minus Eternity and Fox. When they shuffled out of the classroom nothing had happened either.
"What the heck!" I exclaimed in frustration, walking over towards the door. I stared up at the bucket sitting on top of the door. So that was the problem! The bucket was jammed! "Well that's easy enough to fix..." Jumping up a bit, I hit the bucket and it came lose and fell. On me.
Swearing, I tried to wipe the green stuff off of me. From down the hallway I heard someone snicker, and I raised my eyes but saw no one.
"Who was that?!" I called. The dim light of the hallways was no match for my eyesight, but I couldn't see anyone but me in the hallway. Another snicker sounded from behind me. "I'm gonna get you!"
Using my super speed I ran towards the laughter and straight into one of the scientists here at the military base. And it just had to be Autumn, the head unit of experiments. She glared down at me indifferently. The air of superiority that surrounded her made me angry for some reason.
"Did you have something to say to me, Fhyre?" she asked, an amused smile creeping onto her face.
"Not really," I answered finally. It's not like I could've thought up a better response or anything.
"Well then, I suggest you clean yourself up and get back to the dorms." Autumn said it more like an order, which increased my fury further. Who did she think she was?! A mere human thought she was better than me? Just because I was the ninth Digit didn't mean I was weak! It's not like I had anything better to do, though.
"Yeah, yeah," I replied, smirking. "See ya!" With that I turned around and walked down the hallway. As I was halfway to the dorms I saw a very familiar head of dirty blonde hair. Fox. Perfect! I could rub all the gross stuff that coated me on him.
"Fox!" I shouted. The rain drowned out my cries and the shapeshifter didn't even turn. "I guess I'll just have to follow him, then!"
With that I ran with him all the way to the boys dorms. I didn't bother using my super speed to catch up with him. Besides, it was more entertaining to chase him at his own pace.
"Fox!" He still didn't answer me. The bastard... When we finally reached the dorms, I saw a bunch of people already there. Ayre was standing in front of Jett's room, along with Greyson, Juliet, Eternity, Fox, and I. What the heck was going on?
"Group hug, anyone?" I asked after a long paused resounded in the hallway.
They all stared at the goo on my outfit in horror. Shaking my head, I asked another question.
"Why are we all standing in front of Jett's room?"
