None of my Concern

♠ Juliet ♠

I sighed inwardly at the pairing I had received. As luck would have it, I was paired with the pervert, Fox. His flirting with Ayre was so obvious it was almost painful for me to watch, if not unbearable, and the second she was done giving us instructions I hurried out of the room.

"Juliet! Wait!" the imbecile called after me as I sped down the hallways of the dormitories. He panted and placed his hand on my shoulder, sweat off his palms penetrating my coat. Absolutely despicable.

Using my telekinesis I flicked his hand off me and continued walking down the hall. Fox fell into step with me soon after and made no conversation as we made our way towards the exit. Smart boy.

The rain outside had subsided slightly, but a soft drizzle reminded me that this escape would be no easy task. It was almost as if the dark clouds were serving as an ominous warning. It was foolish to think all ten of us would survive this rebellious movement.

Escaping from the military base? Impossible. Of course, there were dozens of predictable ways we could have gone about this task, but Ayre, a complete and utter air-head, had chosen the most obvious.

Fox had begun to approach one of the soldiers, but I realized a way we could be of more use. We Digits had no weapons but our own powers, and even those would be useless against a shower of bullets. Not even my telekinesis could stop the flamethrowers I was sure the experimentalists owned.

A plan formed in my head instantaneously, and I reluctantly clamped my hand on Fox's forearm and began pulling him towards the base's arsenal.

"What the hell, Juliet?!" Fox protested in the way I had already predicted he would. "What are you doing?!"

"Fool, you will follow my instructions, or you will die." I murmured, my voice barely heard over the increasing patter of the rain.

"What did you say? C'mon, let me go!" he persisted, much to my annoyance. Could the idiot not follow instructions, or was he really so dense that he had not discovered the obvious thing we should be doing now was collecting weapons for ourselves?

"Silence." Almost upon command his mouth shut, courtesy of my power. Fox struggled momentarily, but gave up in the end, knowing his feeble attempts were indeed useless.

"We are going to get weapons. If Ayre does not think we will need extra help in escaping, she is wrong. I will remove all guns from the guards in front of arsenal, and you will attack. From there we shall collect what we can and return them to Ayre and Jett. Understand?" I explained quickly, using basic terms in hope that he would understand.

Instead of replying, the seventh Digit just nodded and broke out into a sprint towards our destination. Heaving another sigh, I quickened my pace and arrived shortly in front of the heavily-guarded building where the ordnance was stored.

Fox wasted no time in his attack. Shifting momentarily into the form of a fox, he dashed towards the troops. Their confused expressions invoked a slight smile from me, but the warmth disappeared from my face as I saw one of the guards capture the animal. That moron! What was he doing!

Instantly the fox turned into a human and took out all the surrounding troops at once. Fox smirked triumphantly at me and dusted himself off. Showing no emotion on my face, I neared the large building ahead of us. An electronic device blinked red to the right of me.

With my mind, I willed the insides of the security system to my command, and the steel doors in front of me began to slide apart. Fox muttered something that I had could not hear, nor cared to, and dashed in the weapon storage-room before me.

Upon entrance we were met with row upon row of guns. There were machine guns, rifles, and more than I could find a name for stretched out as far as the eye could see. If the military had all this, what were we needed for? A sideshow of entertainment amidst battle?

"Take what you can, and blow it all up," I instructed Fox after considering my options.

"Blow it up?! Why?" he asked incredulously.

"If we do not destroy it, then we will be destroyed," I stated simply. The obvious truth of what I had said silenced him-for now. He morphed part of his arm to form a makeshift bag, a power I had not known him capable of. To my dismay, the surprise on my face must have shown because Fox grinned at me and continued collecting the weaponry.

"Do not get too cocky if you wish to live," I said, before navigating slowly through the massive armory.

"You know you love me," was his answer, and I found myself muttering a few regrettable words myself.

A particularly interesting piece of machinery caught my eye as I was about to return to Fox. It was overpowering in its size, and I realized instantly what it was. A nuclear bomb.

"So they do have these here," I mused. It would serve well in destroying the rest of the warehouse, that was guaranteed.

"Okay, I have everything we need!" Fox shouted from the entrance. Without acknowledging his existence, I quickly programmed a nearby, and smaller, bomb to set off within an hour. Luckily the codes were easier to crack than I had anticipated. I could only hope we would be out of rage by then.

"Let us return to Ayre, now." With that we left the arsenal behind us, as well as ticking bomb set to go off in a meager 60 minutes.

Whether we would be farther than its reach at that time was none of my concern.

Beh.

Haha I can write better as Juliet when no one talks to her, and she's not doing anything but speculating on random things.

Whateverrr.
