Jett's gorgeous eyes roamed over our small group and settled on me finally, unmoving. With a blissful sigh, I looked the number one Digit up and down, admiring his abs. He was saying something about that ridiculous plan of his, but do you honestly think I would be focusing on something as stupid as that, when I could be fantasizing? Instinctively, I reached my hands up to my hair, tucking loose strands behind my ears and twisting them around my fingers. I threw in a couple flirtatious winks as well, though Jett hardly noticed.

I huffed. Why did Ayre get to feel Jett's perfectly kissable lips on hers, while I had to sit and watch it all? Why was she the only one that he loved?! It should be me! I should be the one that Jett would love to rule over the humans with, the one that would always be there for him. Unlike a stupid pink-haired girl who didn't have the heart to take what was right in front of her. Idiot. She would have to be eliminated. A broken-hearted Jett was better than no Jett at all.

With a satisfied smirk, I lowered my eyes and waited for Jett's speech to finally end. All that I needed to keep me sane was the sound of his voice. It sounds all gross like that, but it's true!

"-So if you guys mess this up, I won't keep you alive long enough for you to see what happens. Got it?" Jett stood and waited for a reply, but when none came, he shoved his hands in his pockets and stalked away solemnly, to who knows where. Rhys trailed behind the first Digit for awhile, until Jett randomly stuck out his leg and tripped the nerd, sending him tumbling down the hill.

I stretched my neck so that I could see Rhys hit the bottom in a crumpled heap, stopping at a large birch tree, his legs bent at awkward angles. I snickered behind my hand, then tapped my lower lip with my finger, staring over at Saracen. The pathetic ditz was almost in tears as she shouted back at the dark-haired boy.

"That was mean, Jett! What the hell????"

Jett waved a hand aimlessly through the air. "Whatever, I'm not here to be liked, am I?" With a shake of his head, his hair fell in messy strands in front of his eyes, and he resumed his procession into the distance.

As much as I wanted to follow my love, I decided to wait back and see what the other Digits were going to do. Saracen's shoulders slumped, and she wandered off to "hug a tree" or something like that. Whatever people who can manipulate realities does. Greyson seemed to have fallen asleep during Jett's lecture, and Rhys... Well Rhys was somewhere at the bottom of the hill. Crying or whatever, like the wimp he was.

With a couple of cautious looks behind me, I began to walk away from camp. If I was going to defeat Ayre, I had to find her base first. Which wouldn't be very difficult, considering that I had seen the light from their campfire late last night. It wasn't far from here, only a couple of miles into the thick forest.

After a few exhausting miles (you try and walk in heels!) I was finally able to spot someone moving in the distance. From the person's tall lanky stature, I could tell immediately that it was Fox. Of course, it was my luck that I had to defeat the retard shape-shifter before I could complete my real goal. It wouldn't be that hard, he was weak. Also, I wouldn't be distracted by something as trivial as looks, because as far as I was concerned, Fox wasn't even close to Jett's level of sexiness. Definitely not.

I didn't think that the seventh Digit could see me, so I advanced further, until he was only a couple of yards away from me. I was so close that I could see the rhythmic motion of his chest rising and falling with each easing breath. He was calm now, but in a few moments, he would be so calm that he wouldn't even be breathing. Fool.

Suddenly, my foot struck something hard in the middle of my path, snapping off the heel of my shoe and making me fall into the dirt on my face. Whimpering, I wiped the mud off of my face, though it remained in streaks. I was probably being really loud, because next thing I knew, Fox was there, standing above me with a demonic grin playing on his lips.

"What do you want?!" I spat, glaring up at the boy. Ugly.

Fox raised an eyebrow and cocked his head to the side. "I think we should get rid of her, what do you think, Fhyre?" Out of nowhere, the ninth Digit landed right next to me, immediately crouching down and pinning me to the ground by my shoulders.

"Situation has been neutralized," Fhyre laughed, taking great pleasure in keeping me locked down.

Dirt and who knows what kept getting into my mouth the more I protested. "Get off of me you moron!" Digging my nails into Fhyre's arms had no effect, and soon, my only choice was to see what they were going to do with me. Oh wait, I had powers. Duh.

Focusing my eyes on the silver-haired boy, I willed him to be sapped of his strength. It came into immediate effect, and the pressure on my shoulders gradually decreased, and I was able to flip myself up off of the ground and stand up.

Fox pushed his bangs back with a hand rather dramatically and grinned in my direction. "So it must be my turn, then?" He took a large step towards me, and I could already tell that he was about to shift himself into something that could easily kill me. Just like I had done with Fhyre, I trained my violet eyes on Fox's gold ones, and wished his power to be gone with. It worked better than I had thought it would. At first.
