Forest of Nightmares
I'll lead you to the forest,
where mortals cry out,
and mythical creatures laugh and shout.
No kindness resides here,
only human fears.
This is where nightmares dream to be heard.
Blood comes in lakes,
nourishing dark trees,
with even grimer fruits seen in their leaves.
Sweat covers your body,
I smell it,
they sense it.
Your eyes steeled against this world of terror.
We finally reach you,
a nightmare to many,
a grim reaper that's human and killed many.
You close your eyes happily,
ready to accept,
your new role in the world.
A nightmare forever,
now basking in terror.
