Me and Kang- If you don't want to know the other side of me, don't read this post

Kang is my older brother, and the closest friend I have ever had. I trust him more than anyone else in the world. We are the exact same, but completely different at the same time. Both of us are soldiers he is a Navy SEAL, I am an ex-Delta Force operator gone Defense Contractor. But as I said we are the same, but complete paragons.

I fight only to protect those I care about, even if it costs me my life, even if it means I have to take lives of others. I will give anything to protect what I hold dear. I don't regret what I do or what I did in the past. Kang is a soldier of chaos, he enjoys the battlefield, more than anything. Theirs is no need to sugar coat what we are, we take lives without a second thought.

Just like me, Kang knows what war is truly like. We fought together in Iraq, we may have been from different branches of the military,. Both of us have different reasons for fighting, different talents, I am a CQC expert, he is a Sniper. but we are the same, we're both Special Forces.

We both have blood on our hands and have bled to protect each other. We are blood brothers, maybe not biologically, but we are closer then they are. Every time I am in trouble he comes to my rescue and vise versa. We protect each other we need no reason and have no fear, I fight to protect, he fights for the sake of fighting. Like I said different but at the same time the exact same.

We believe in each other more than anything. I do not believe it's possible for him to let me down, I believe he would say the same thing about me. Since we were in the 3rd grade we have been protecting each other. A few months after I moved into my house, before I got my daughter. He came over, it was just me and him, talking and hanging out. It was actually about 2 months after I left the site, some unwanted guests invited themselves into my house. There were 5 of them, they never stood a chance against just the 2 of us.

As I said, the last thing I saw before passing out from my interrogation was his face, it was also the first thing I saw when I woke up. Watching each others backs is all we have ever done in war or not. Kang is the closest family member I have.

Something I never thought of

I was in my living room watching the last episode of Gungrave (Dusk of the Destroyers) when my daughter walked in and started watching it with me. As we watched it, she kept asking me who one of the main characters Brandon Heat a.k.a Beyond the Grave(or just Grave) is. I told her over and over who it was, when the episode ended I wanted to know why she wanted to know so bad.

She said its because he reminded her of me. It's no secret Gungrave is my favorite anime. I never thought about it but she was right, we are exactly alike. Brandon Heat had a bad life as a child, he believes in putting his family and friends before everything else. Finally he believes that you never betray family. Is this starting to sound familiar to anyone XD.

Grave

Maybe these reasons that make us so alike, subconsciously drove me to love Gungrave and Brandon. It may just be another reason why it's my favorite anime and always will be. Just some food for thought :).

Family Forever

My little sis Keri is afraid a lot of drama in our family is ripping us apart. I promised her it wouldn't, and it wont. I am 100% warrior, willing to lay my life down for what I believe in. I will not let this drama rip us apart Omnia and tea will help me.

Keri I promise you it will get better sis, I will show you the light at the end of the tunnel. Nothing will take this family apart little sis, I will protect it like I do you. We will weather this storm together sis. When I was in Delta and thought about giving up, I looked at Vice, Marcus and T.K, they were still fighting, to protect each other, to protect me. All we had was each other then. But this is not a war zone Keri. This is my home and you are my family to. I will fight like hell to protect this family, like I did for my Delta family sis. If your scared climb on my back and I will carry you through the scary parts. I swear nothing is going to happen to us sis.

Even Ghosts Cry

Last Night as I was laying with my daughter asleep, I was visited by the most important person in my whole life in my dreams, my 2nd mom. She sat down next to me and talked with me for what seemed like hours. I asked her several things I wanted to before she passed away a couple of months ago.

I asked her if she ever regretted taking me in, I want to know if she ever regretted letting me join the Army, or if she ever regretted letting me join Academi. Mom looked at me smiling and said there is only one thing she regrets. That was not being able to tell me how proud she was of me because of the man I turned out to be. I woke up with my pillow soaking wet and continued to cry for 20 minutes. I miss her so much and love her forever.

I'm sorry everyone, I had to post this. People tend to forget dreams in a few hours or lose parts of them, this is the first time I have seen her face since she passed away 2 months ago. I love you mom now and forever.
