Chapter 6 - Angelic Voice

Welcome to Club Dam! What can I get for all of you?” A young girl asked.
“We’ll take one room, please.” Rini asked and paid.
“Thank you.” She smiled. “You’re room is 42.”
They walked over to the room and went in. Sakura looked around the room. There was a jukebox, a stand with two mics, and a book.
“Ok Sakura, what you do is look in the book to see what you want to sing. It will have the number of the song and the lyrics in it” Rini told her as she showed her the book. “Then you push the button here on the jukebox to start the song. Then, you sing.” She smiled. “Ok, you’re up first!” She was happy. She wanted to hear her sing.
Sakura picked up the book and looked around for a sec. She was so nervous! She was going to do her best. She then saw a song she liked from an Anime. “Konya Wa Hurricane”. She got ready and pushed the button.
The song started and surprised her sisters with it. She took a deep breath. She started to sing. She put her whole soul into it. The girls were stunned! They couldn’t believe that was Sakura! She was dancing and singing perfectly. Rini was flabbergasted.
When the song was over, Sakura looked up to she her sisters bewildered. They all cheered at her!
“Where did you learn to sing like that?” Yukako asked in awe.
“You’re awesome sis!” Kiko gave her a hug.
“I know you had it in you! I just didn’t know that was in you.” Rini smiled at her.
Sakura was blushing. “I like to sing when I’m alone.” She said. “Sorry to hide it.” She was so embarrassed.
“Well, I think you need to do another one for us.” Rini said with a sly grin. “It’s your punishment for hiding it from us.” She winked at her.
Sakura started to sing another one. They were so happy to hear her sing. They then took turns singing. They were all having fun. As they were leaving, the girl at the desk stopped them.
“Which one of you was that singing so beautifully?” She asked.
“That was Sakura.” Kiko said and pointed to her.
“Wow, you’re really good! I heard you when I passed by the door.” She gave her a big smile.
Sakura pulled out her notepad. “Thank you very much.”
This girl looked confused at Rini.
“She doesn’t talk to people. That’s just how she is.” Rini smiled and winked.
They left the girl wondering what that was all about. They were laughing about it as they walked home.
“That poor girl!” Yukako said laughing.
“Sakura-chan, I think you just made her day.” Rini said and rubbed Sakura’s head.
Sakura was laughing too. “Sorry, I still can’t talk to everyone yet.” She said softly.
When they got home, they told their mom and dad what happened.
“Mom, I think she takes after you with the singing.” Rini Said.
Emiko smiled. “I don’t know about that. Her father was a singer.” She giggled at the memory.
“You’ll have to tell me about him sometime.” She said.
“Well, she could take after you dad.” Yukako said sarcastically.
“And what does that mean!?” Shinichi asked unhappily.
“Come on dad, you know you can’t sing. Unless you count sounding like a dying cat.” She said starting to laugh.
Everyone was laughing now. He looked like the rug had been pulled out from under him. “Emiko-chan, our daughters have no respect for me.” He dramatically said with tears.
“It’s okay dear. They just wanted to be honest with you.” She started laughing with them.
Shinichi just stood there. They all went up to him and gave him a hug. “Well, at least I know you love me.
That night Sakura slept good. She was singing in her dreams. She woke up in the morning, full of energy. She got ready for school and headed out. as she walked to school, she started to sing to herself. She always leaves early to school. She likes to get there an hour early. It’s peaceful at that time.
She decided to go to the music room. No one was there. She then started to sing some songs from “Show-Ya”. She was really enjoying it.
Miki entered the school and heard someone singing. “Wow, Someone has a nice voice.” She said to herself. She was able to hear it. The Teacher’s lounge was close to the music room. After a while, she wanted to know who it was.
She got up and walked over to the music room. The singing had stopped, and she walked into the room. No one was there. She looked over and saw the other door closing. She had just missed her. “I’m too late.” She said disappointedly. She shrugged and went back to her desk.
Sakura went outside to meet her friends. She didn’t notice Miki had almost seen her singing. She then went to her class with her friends.
“Good Morning class!” Miki said with a big smile. “Real quick, I heard someone singing in the music room this morning. Anyone know who it was?” She asked.
Everyone was surprised to hear that. Sakura was beet red with embarrassment. She couldn’t bring herself to say it was her.
“Well, if anyone knows her, please let her know she’s amazing!” She said with a big grin.
