♢Noel♢
I swung my legs over the side of my bed and scooched over closer to my pillow so Elena could sit down next to me on the bed. Austin went back to working on his laptop and Elena jumped up on the bed bouncing a bit from her landing on it. “I got a little worried that I was going to be able to find your room.” She smiled at me.
“Well are names are on the door.” Austin commented.
“But the doors open.” I mentioned. “S-so she wouldn’t have been able to tell if she forgot the number.”
Elena giggled and nudged me slightly. “Give me more credit. I totally would have been able to figure out where the room was if you hadn’t told me.”
I laughed lightly. “Your right. Sorry.” I smiled.
She looked around the room. “I see you two have some of the same taste.” She assume she’s talking about how we have some anime posters on the walls.
“Y-yeah, we both have a list for each other of what we need to watch.” I answered loosening up a little bit. Elena was very pretty, she filled out her blouse that she was wearing nicely, and her pants framed her legs as they gracefully fell over the side of the bed.
“That’s awesome that you two have already done that. I’m sure that Alexa and I will end up doing that with books when I start looking through all of the ones she brought with her.” Elena mentioned.
“Those boxes were pretty heavy.” Austin chimed in not looking away from his laptop.
We all laughed and continued talking. Elena was so sweet, I was really enjoying talking with her and getting to know her more. I think a few times I was able to form a full sentence with out stuttering. I was still quiet though, which kind of urked me a little. My nerves will die down at some point, probably after the first week or two of classes I’ll settle down and feel better.
We munched on some of the snacks that I had stored in the tote under my bed. It wasn’t long before I looked at me phone and noticed that it was quarter to 6. We had spent over two and a half hours talking and enjoying each other company.
“Elena we need to head out.” I said quickly hopping off the bed and slipping on my shoes.
She got off the bed as well and I grabbed my phone and wallet, which had my key card in it and put them both in my pockets. “I’ll see you later Austin.”
“Sounds good, hope it goes well for you two.” Austin gave me a thumbs up and winked at me.
I couldn’t respond back to him before Elena pulled me out of the room with her. We jogged to the statue were there were some other students that were waiting there as well. “It’s good to know we weren’t the only ones that got these letters.” Elena mentioned and I nodded in agreement. Though I didn’t know anyone that was here with us. There were probably around 10 to 15 people including us standing in front of the statue.
“Thank you for coming everyone!!” A cheerful male voice called over the small group and we looked up to see a kid that looked around my age with black hair that faded to red and was pulled back into a braid sitting on top of the wolf’s head.
“How did he get up there?” A girl whispered to another person.
“I don’t know. I didn’t see him up there when we got here.” The other girl answered.
“My name is Jinx Black.” He greeted as he stood up and jumped down from the wolf’s head. “Congrats on being chosen to all of you! Now if you would all please follow me I can take you to our destination!” He chimed. He was a very chipper person but I was a bit confused when he turned around and just stood in front of the statue.
“Um, buddy ya kinda need ta move if you want us to follow ya.” A boy in front of us said and other laughed.
“I didn’t find that very funny.” Elena muttered crossing her arms.
“Yeah…” I nodded in agreement. I was more so focused on Jinx though. He was doing something, but what. Soon enough the statue actually moved back. The people that were in front of Elena and I moved back and we were now standing in front.
“Sorry that took so long everyone.” Jinx laughed a little rubbing the back of his head. “Please follow me.” He said and started down the whole that was apparently under the statue.
I took a breath and stepped forward to follow Jinx. I wanted to know where he was going and following was the only way. Elena followed after me. We went down into the darkness, the air got heavier as we went along. There was something here. There were spiritual presence’s where we were going.
“It feels like we’re walking in a haunted house.” Elena muttered and I laughed lightly. I could tell that she was trying to lighten the mood.
Soon enough we walked into this huge room there were four figured that were on the other end of the room. I stood there in shock. “D-demons…” I muttered feeling my heart pound.
“Welcome to Hidden University.” The demon in the center greeted.
Jinx ran up to the bench and jumped up on it and sat down. “Yes welcome everyone! You had been selected to be bonded with a demon that is compatible to you.”
“HA, your joking right?” The guy who decided to make a stupid joke before spoke up.
“I-I don’t think he’s j-joking.” I said turning back to look at the kid.
“Ding ding ding! Your right Noel!” Jinx exclaimed he jumped down and a cloud of smoke exploded around him. Standing in Jinx’s spot was a demon. “I was the one that helped put the letters in your rooms.”
Everyone started talking to each other and their voices started to blend together. I felt someone grab my sleeve and I looked over to see Elena was the one that was holding onto my sleeve.
“Enough.” Another one of the demons in front of us boomed and everyone fell silent. “You are here to help protect the rest of the human student body from demons that wish to consume the human soul. You are to be bonded with a a demon that you will work together with and defeat these demons.”
“Mr. Goodwell is correct. Now let’s bring out the demons.” The only women demon said in a kind and caring voice.
Just then a group of demons came out and stood in a single file like there were in school. “Could the humans please stand in a single file line as well, please.” The women demon asked us and we did so with out a word.
“Once you have been bonded you will stand over along the wall. You will be called in the order in which your demons arrived here this morning.” Mr. Goodwell said as he handed a stack of papers to the center demon. “When your name is called please step to the center of the room and your demon partner will follow suit.” He continued.
Then a silence lingered in the air as we all waited for the first name to be called.“Noel Sobel.” The demon in the center called out in his deep voice. With no hesitation in fear of what they would do to me if I stood still I walked forward and into the center of the room. I felt like I was standing in the center of the dartboard. The room was quiet then one of the demons from the row stepped forward and started walking towards me. He had long black hair that swayed from side to side as he walked forward. He had an almost a traditional Japanese style but with a modern twist if that makes any since.
“So your Noel.” His voice was very smooth but it also sounded proper as if he grew up with proper edict. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“S-So I was right in assuming your Japanese. Or am I wrong?” I asked. I mentally slapped myself because of that. That’s not how I should be making a first impression.
He wasn’t taken back by what I said though. He simply smirked and stopped inches away from me. He was inches taller then me. I wanted to say at least five or six inches. He wrapped his left arm around my waist and pulled my body against his. My heart was racing what he going to do to me? I felt his right hand lift up my shirt and his finger slide down into my waistband. His cold hands made me jump I was having second thoughts about this. With how close I was to him it was making me really uncomfortable.
“C-can you l-let go of me please. T-this is making me feel u-uncomfortable.” I asked him as where his hand was against my skin felt like it was burning.
He chuckled and pulled his hand out form my pants and moved it up to my cheek with out breaking eye contact with me. “Well then you’re about to hate how close we’re just about to get. My name is Nori Hira.” His breathe and brushed against my lips when he whispered his name as he face got closer to mine.
I panicked and tried to push him away from me but no matter how hard I push his grip on me got tighter. He was really strong. A lot stronger then he looks. His smiling lips pressed against mine and my eyes grew wide, I was being kissed by another man. Our lips parted and he smiled softly. In front of my eyes he erupted into flames and it engulfed me. A small yelp escaped my lips but then the flames weren’t burning me. They actually just absorbed into my skin.
After the flames were gone I looked around Nori was gone. “N-Nori?” I said out loud.
“Don’t worry kid I’m still here. We just have to do one more thing to complete the bond.” Nori’s voice echoed in my ears. “Switch with me.”
“W-what?” I said and felt my conscious slip and a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see Nori smile at me and then jump ahead of me. So this is a switch?

During the few hours that we had to wait Ms. Screens came in and explained to use exactly what we had to do in order to bond with the human. It wasn’t that hard, we just had to place a bond mark on them and then use one of our powers to bond with them. I looked up at the ceiling to think about where exactly I wanted to place a bonding mark on Noel. Should I have it some place where it shows? Or should I have it hidden for the boys sake? Decisions decisions so many wonderful places where I could place it on his body. Though Ms. Screens did tell us that the closer we become with our human the more we’ll effect them. I didn’t quite get when she meant by that. Did that mean that Noel would end up taking on my appearance? That would be a waist of trying to hide us if that were the case.
“I hope Noel’s a cute as he is in his picture.” I said out loud.
Eevie giggled at me comment. “I guess we’ll find out who has the hotter partner now won’t we.” A seductive smile playing at the corner of her lips.
“I guess we’ll see.” I answered back.
The four of us continued to talk when my ears flicked as I heard some commotion coming from the main room. “I think the humans are here.” I muttered picking up my head.
“Finally!” Eevie exclaimed raising her hands up into the air.
I originally wanted to go right over to the room and peek out to see if my human showed up or not, but there were already a four other demons over there.
“Eevie I have a wager.” I smiled playfully looking slightly down at her.
“Hm, and what might this wager be?” She questioned.
“Let’s see who can put on the better show with the bonding.” I said and she leaned up against me slightly.
“What are the stakes?” She purred.
“No stakes, at least not this time. I just want to see who can do it better.” I answered.
“Boo, That’s not fun, but fine, I’ll accept your wager, but next time we have stakes.” Eevie commented.
“Alright, we can do that.” I nodded in agreement.
“Mr. Goodwell is right. Now let’s bring them out.” Ms. Screens said loudly and we got up from our seats and went out into the main room and stood in a single file line.
“Are you sure about this Nori.” Yun asked my quietly.
I nodded, “I’m positive.” I answered him as Mr. Goodwell and Mr. Black were explaining what was going to happen to the humans. “Go rest on the bench with the council.” I told Yun. He didn’t protest and he did what I told him. Mr. Black called out Noel’s name and he stepped forward. He was slim looking with messy blonde hair and striking blue eyes. He looked even better in person.
“So your Noel.” I said stepping out from the line and walking over to my human with long strides. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“S-So I was right in assuming your Japanese. Or am I wrong?” He asked as I stopped in front of him. I towered over the kid and it was really cute actually, I didn’t mind having a short human. He seemed like he was probably around 5’9”. It wasn’t too bad for our height difference.
I wasn’t taken back from his question. It actually made me smile a bit. I wrapped my left arm around his waist and pulled him in closer to me. As he looked up into my eyes I lifted his shirt and slid my right down into his waistband. My cold hands made him jump.
“C-can you l-let go of me please. T-this is making me feel u-uncomfortable.” Noel stuttered as I began placing the bond on the inside of his pelvis.
I couldn’t help but chuckle and pulled my hand out from his waistband after the bond mark was finished. I brought my hand up to his cheek with out breaking eye contact with him. “Well then you’re about to hate how close we’re just about to get. My name is Nori Hira.” I whispered as I moved my face closer to his own.
He panicked and tried to push away from me, but I refused to let go. The harder her pushed the tighter I held him against my body. I leaned in the rest of the way and pressed my lips against his. They were soft and a bit plumper then I thought they were compared to his picture. I could feel his heat radiating off his face. I pushed a bit harder against his lips before I broke away from him and smiled softly at him before my body burst into flames and engulfed Noel. I felt myself sink into his consciousness. It felt like Noel’s body was my own.
“N-Nori?” Noel’s voice echoed.
“Don’t worry kid I’m still here. We just have to do one more thing to complete the bond.” I called out to him. “Switch with me.”
“W-what?” He said and then I felt his body stumble back slightly and himself appeared in front of me. I placed a hand on his shoulder and winked at him then jumped forward in front of him and I felt my conscious come to the for front and I had taken control.
I opened my eyes and took a breath in at a looked down at my hands. I was in my own body, but it felt like I had two hearts. My heart felt like it was pounding. It must have been from Noel. I can understand that he was scared.
“A perfect bonding.” Ms. Screens clapped happily. “And I must say good show. You really set the bar high for the other bondings.”
“Nori if you would please go stand by the wall.” Mr. Black said motioning over to which wall I was supposed to go to.
I bowed and then teleported over to the wall making the humans jump a bit.
‘W-what’s going on? W-what happened? W-where a-am I?’ Noel panicked in my head.
“It’s okay, Noel, just relax, we just preformed our first switch. I can explain things later. For now though I’ll let you back in control, try not to panic if a little cotton ball comes flying over to you. Just make sure you catch him, he’ll more then likely accidentally run into you.” I explained and then my vision faded and I met with him again and tossed Noel forward with a laugh.
This was fun, I was really going to enjoy being with this shy little one. I’m sure I could get him to open up more!
