♢Noel♢
After I got done talking with my parents I must have fallen asleep because I woke up to something waking me in the stomach. When I looked over and my contacts readjusted themselves Austin was tapping me with some brightly colored thing.
“Good your up!” He exclaimed happily with a wide smile.
“What’s up?” I asked rubbing the corner of my eyes and sitting up.
“I made you these. I feel like the fit the personality that you seem to be hiding.” He stated and handed me two short sword looking foam things. He handed them to me by their handles.
“Thank you.” I answered taking them and holding one in both hands.
“Your welcome. You didn’t really seem like a sword and board type person to me. And with what you told me. Your going to want to use that flexibility to your advantage so I figured that two is better then one and bam boffer short swords.” He explained.
I couldn’t help but chuckle. “Well I think it’ll work.”
‘You sound like your actually excited about this now.’ Nori mentioned.
I nodded, “I’ve always been one for the dual weapons in a game, so it’ll be kinda fun to have them myself.” I said out loud.
“Good. Then we’ll have to figure out combos to do together where there are two on two matches.” Austin commented and showed me his staff that he pulled out from his closet. “This one’s mine. I’m not a sword and board type person either.
I sat there for a moment and felt my phone buzz. It was Elena, she finally answered my text. I answered her back then looked back up at Austin. “Were you given anything with the rules for boffer?”
Austin smiled and dug into his pocket pulling out a folded up piece of paper and handing it to me. Opening it I looked it over, reading the rules. They seemed simple enough there were only a few spots that were not valid to being hit, which made since. I saw t he website that they got the rules from and grabbed my laptop and went to the website. Answering Elena as she text me back.
“Were you planning on going to the block party tonight?” I asked glancing over at Austin.
“I was, were you?” He responded.
“Yeah I can go. I don’t mind.” I answered and text Elena back. “So two on two’s will be like one on one’s just with another person and team work since it doesn’t seem to have rules for it.” I mentioned.
‘This actually sounds like a lot of fun. This will be some good training too now that I think about it.’ Nori mentioned.
“It’ll keep me in shape that’s for sure.” I agreed.
‘And if you ever have trouble we can practice combat partial switches!’ Nori sounded excited about it.
“Sounds good.” I held in my laugh so I wouldn’t confuse Austin as to why I was randomly laughing.
I closed my laptop and got my shoes back on grabbed everything and then we went to the block party. I text Elena to let her know that we were here, then Austin and I wandered over towards the food was.
They had bunch of stuff. From junk food, to salads. They really went all out for the party. “Austin!” I heard a man’s voice call and I looked over to see Austin practically tackled. I blinked in confusion.
“There are a lot of people here.” Yun stated and I felt him moving around on my head.
‘It’s not the people he’s thinking about.’ Nori chuckled and I looked at the table of food we were standing by.
“Who this?” My head snapped back to the conversation that was happening with Austin.
“This is my roommate Noel. He’s the one that couldn’t make it to the building meeting today.
“It’s nice to meet you Noel. I’m Sam.” The kid had thick arms and a really strong build like a football player. He held out his hand and I took it.
I felt a cold shiver go through my arm and up and down my spin. But I kept it cool and shook his hand. “What was that all about?”
“Master Noel, There’s demon mites floating around him. But I don’t remember seeing this kid among you humans for the bonding.” Yun said quietly to me.
I focused on the area around him and I could see them. The little black spiky looking demons starting to collect around him.
“Noel, hey.” I blinked a few times and Austin snapped his fingers in front of my face a few times.
I quickly let go of the kids hand and laughed rubbing the back of my head, “Sorry, I’m a little out of it. I took a nap and I normally don’t do that.” I stated.
Sam raised an eye brow at me but then smiled. “No, no it’s fine. Everyone get’s tired.”
“There you are.” Elena called out and I turned to her and smiled.
“Who’s this?” Alexa questioned looking at Sam.
“This is my friend Sam. Sam this is Alexa, and Elena.” Austin mentioned.
“It’s nice to meet you Sam.” Elena and Alexa said together.
“Master Noel, I don’t like this.” Yun said quietly to me.
‘This boy is possessed.’ Nori said and I felt my heart skip.
“What do we do? Do we call an exorcists or something? But if we do that then won’t they sense you?” I panicked.
“Noel, Elena!!” I heard a guys voice and I looked over and was tackled along with Elena by someone. Then I noticed the two toned hair.
“J-Jinx?!” Elena and I said together.
“You owe me a coke.” Jinx laughed and stuck out his tongue at us and winked.
“Oh you two know him?” Austin asked me.
I nodded. “We was at the meeting with us.” Elena said quickly as Jinx got up off of us and helped us up.
“Oh okay. I figured you two met him when you were walking around together.” Austin commented and I felt my face heat up.
“H-Hey now, don’t start planting anything in his mind about us now too.” I stuttered.
They all laughed and Jinx grabbed both of our wrists. “If you don’t mind I want to borrow these two for a moment. I promise I’ll give them back just don’t go anywhere.” Jinx pulled us away from Sam, Austin, and Alexa. We went behind a tent that was just behind the corner and he let go of our wrists then turned around.
“What’s up?” I asked a bit confused.
“You noticed it didn’t you?” Jinx nodded towards where we just came from.
I nodded, “Yun pointed out the mites that were starting to swarm around Sam.” I mentioned.
“Is he a demon himself?” Elena asked.
Jinx shook his head, “Not yet, but if there’s nothing done soon, the demon possessing him will consume the kids soul. Since you said that mites are starting to collect, that means it’s the extremely important that the demon is cleansed from his body. If he eats another human soul while possessing a human then there’s no saving the human.”
“What can we do?” Elena asked.
“Your both bonded to noble demon’s. Only those of a noble blood can convict a demon who has posses a human. If you couldn’t tell, both of your bonding’s are accelerating faster then anyone else who has been bonded. It may be something to do with the pure blood, we don’t really know. To be honest this is the first time we’ve had nobles bond with humans.” Jinx crossed his arms and was dead serious.
I looked back but Sam was walking away with Austin and Alexa. “I think I know who he’s going to try for first.” I said. “Elena does Eevie know any type of thing that can either put people to sleep or something along those lines?” I asked.

We waited for Elena to answer us. “Go after them Noel.” I said.
‘But what if we get affected by it if Eevie can do it?’ Noel stated.
“We’ll be fine. Just go.” I ordered.
“We’re going ahead. Do what you can and catch up.” Noel told Elena and then started running.
“Austin, hey wait up!” Noel yelled trying to get their attention.
None of them turned back to see us. “They’re not listening to me.” “Excuse me, sorry.” Noel apologized as he maneuvered through the crowd of people that were in our way. Kids around us started rubbing their eyes. “Everyone’s falling asleep.” Noel stated.
“Switch!” I said and right after I finished the word I was the one in control and I teleported Yun and I out of the crowd. I saw mites turning a corner and I teleported over to where they were.
‘Nori we have to switch back Austin and Alexa aren’t asleep.’ Noel said.
“Alright.” We passed each other and high fived “Just be careful."
“Don’t worry, I will.” He said and then he ran forward towards Sam and Austin. Sam had Austin’s face cupped in his hands. Noel jumped up when he got close. “Hey Sam!” Noel shouted. Sam looked up in time for Noel’s foot to connect with his face knocking him away from Austin.
Same grabbed onto Noel’s ankle and threw him towards the wall. “Switch.” We said in unison and I flipped us around and landed feet first onto the wall.
“Yun, give me a distraction.” I ordered.
“On it.” He replied and transformed into his human form and punched a fireball Sam’s way.
I teleported to Austin and caught him before he could hit the ground and then grabbed Alexa and teleported them around the corner. “Noel?” Austin questioned his eyes closing.
“Don’t worry everything will be fine.” I smiled at him before he fell asleep. I stood up after getting both of them up against the wall and Eevie came running up to me. “It’s about time.” I smirked and winked, then teleported back around the corner before she could scold me. “Yun transform.” I yelled out running forward.
“Roger.” He said jumping back from Sam well the demon that was now in front of us, wasn’t Sam any more. It was a bull type demon. This was something that I knew I couldn’t take on alone. Yun shined in a bright light and shot towards me transforming into dual short katana type blades.
‘Wow…’ Noel said and I couldn’t help but snicker.
“Let’s go.” I said and I lit the blades with my own flame as I swung one forward and it clashed with it’s arm sending sparks flying. His skin seemed as hard as steel.
‘Will Yun hurt Sam? We can’t hurt him.’ Noel stated.
“No, Yun can only harm demon’s, he’s what some would call a sacred blade. When we can get the demon separated from Sam, they’ll pass right through him. Yun can also adapt to any element of the person who is holding one of the blades so if I were to throw one to Eevie if she has an element ability she can utilize it through the blade.” I explained bringing up the other blade and blocking the punch that it threw at me.
I teleported away and slid to a stop next to Eevie. “You…stole…my meal…” it’s voice was a mixture of both Sam’s and what I’m guessing is its original voice.
“Well this things intelligence is next to nothing it seems.” Eevie stated placing a hand on her hips as I stood up and spun the blade in my left hand so the blade was facing behind me then rested the right on my shoulder as I stood up.
“Yeah, but it’s skin is strong. Yun couldn’t cut him.” I responded.
“Ah so the fluff ball is useful.” Eevie commented.
“Hey now!” Yun shouted and I couldn’t help but chuckle.
“She’s joking Yun. I’m sure she knew that already.” I stated.
“Stop ignoring me!!” He got louder the more he talked.
“Short temper too.” I sighed.
“Yep. Obviously it has no idea just who he’s going against.” Eevie commented.
“Well hunger can blind some. Let’s so him just what nobles can do.” A wicked smile spread across my lips as I bent my knees and got ready to sprint at him.
“Just don’t get in the way.” Eevie stated.
“Oh don’t worry, I’m faster then you think.” I answered and teleported in front of him and swung with the blade that had just been resting on my shoulder.
Again sparks flew. And it tried to hit me again, but Noel and I switched places he tucked and rolled under the things legs and swung with his left arm to get the things attention. He did and jumped out of the way and we switched again. “Bullet mode.” I ordered and Yun transformed in my hands into two pistols and I started firing. They weren’t bullets they were a mixture of both mine and Yun’s fire in the form of a bullet. The bullet’s ricashade off of it as it turned around to face me. If I couldn’t pierce it maybe being the distraction for Eevie was the better idea. “Sword.” I called out again as he came rushing towards me.
‘I don’t want Eevie and Elena to get hurt.’ Noel commented.
“Good to know we’re on the same page.” I replied and crossed the blades and his horns clashed against my blades as I started to slide back from the force.
