Talk about a strange 24 hour time frame, you see I mentioned briefly in my last post that I made a wallpaper from a scan I got from AnimePaper. As far as I was concerned the matter was over, I submitted it, I got some comments; it was a done deal. At least, that is what I thought until I signed in this morning and found a bunch of pm’s waiting for me.
Now I’ve gotten this in the past, but usually it’s been maybe one or two saying, have you thought of trying this or the ever so fun… You’re wallpaper is offensive! Spiel on account of the yaoi content. Usually I just ignore them other than to perhaps thank those who were just politely sending me a tip.
This time it was stuff along the lines of you should have done this technique or that. Fully blown out critiques via pm. o_O You would have thought I submitted the thing to AnimePaper instead of theOtaku! It made no sense whatsoever! Most of them were rude as if my wallpaper shouldn’t be on the front page… uh I have no control over people looking at it or “hugging” it and so forth. lol
So that was fun, I haven’t had anything like that happen in a while, so I added an edit since I made that for myself and only bothered to upload it because it turned out better than I expected for a wallpaper made for fun. I spent all of an hour and a half on that thing. I don’t have CS3 so there is a lot of stuff that I can’t do… I looked at tutorials out of curiosity once but usually 70% of the click on this and then do that instructions… are features my program doesn’t have. :p
Anyway, that was my fun filled morning today. I got mobbed by art snobs! lol None of them left a comment though, I would have deleted those since they’re pointless.
