Answer To A Question

Someone, in a conversation that I won’t say who was involved, asked me why I no longer update over at myOtaku. My counter answer to that question was “why do you update only at myOtaku? You know that your new friends you’ve made can’t join or comment.”

It took them a moment to think about what I was saying before the little light bulb appeared above their heads. It’s simple really, so long as myOtaku is closed to registration, it is in my opinion a waste of time to continue to post where new members, like my roommate Sabrina, are unable to do more than simply read.

I’ve considered doing what Aaryanna has and turn my profile off over at myOtaku. Never mind, I went ahead and turned it off... Anyway, I enjoyed that aspect of theOtaku but it is no longer relevant for keeping up with my friends. If I ever did decide to update at myOtaku again, I would do like ElvesAteMyRamen and put the exact same update at both. I find her attitude the most admirable out of all the older members I know here.

I wish more of the older members would think about how only posting at myOtaku in protest against the new system is also an indirect slight towards anyone new to theOtaku. So in light of this trend I’ve seen, I will no longer comment on myOtaku either. I won’t leave new members out in the cold.

Now, moving on to other things, this week has been pretty quiet other than some tests I took earlier this week. It’s hard to be busy when you only have two classes, though I love having lots of time to read. I’m now onto the fourth book by Terry Goodkind’s The Sword of Truth series. I started Temple of the Winds earlier today.

I swear that my roommate Sabrina is on a crusade to fatten everyone up. She keeps making lots of tasty homemade food. Cake, cookies, baked chicken… >_> It’s really weird having a roommate who likes to cook. It doesn’t help that she’s good at it and the stuff she makes is really tasty.

I decided to go through my wallpapers and trim out the worst offenders for being barely modified pictures; from back when I had no clue what I was doing. I took out about 75 submissions and I could probably still trim out another 100. I’m too lazy to care at the moment though.

And now… back to reading, playing a game, or something. :p
