Advance to 2009: You Get Nothing! *Kidding!*

So it's 2009 already. Every year I think the same thing or something along the lines of... that went by fast. So much happened last year, both here at theOtaku and in my real life.

Instead of going over all of it, I'll just touch on a few things that were the most memorable. For theOtaku, without a doubt, it was the addition of the chat feature. So many crack moments were had and so many nifty people were met. Out of all the changes made here, it was by far the best in my opinion.

In real life I think all of you know the answer. Getting engaged in December was my most memorable moment for the entire year. (^_^) I've had good times this year, but that was one of the most incredible moments of my life. I'll end the sappy bit since it would be too easy to get carried away. ^^

Now as for the holiday, Christmas and New Years went well and I had a good time. With Nathan's schedule, spending either day with family was out of the question, so last weekend we had a late Christmas with his family. Later today we fly out to Pennsylvania and will have a late Holiday with my parents.

It's going to be fun since he's never been that far east and though he's met my parents, he's yet to meet my older brothers. Hehe. I'm looking forward to that actually. So I'll be gone until Tuesday evening when we fly back.

The trip was a present from my parents since they bought the tickets for us to come out and visit. They insisted after learning that I accept Nathan's proposal. Normally I won't let my parents do that but I figured in this case it would be rude to refuse. I am their baby girl after all. o_O And I mean that literally since I'm the only girl.

Anyway, while I'm off be sure to welcome one of theOtaku's newest members. Nathan's little sister and my soon to be sister-in-law joined last night. Selene Shri So if you have a moment, stop in and say hi. I'd appreciate it if you did.

And I'm off to get some sleep before I catch that plane later today. See ya all.
