This last week was pretty quiet. I did have plenty of work for school, but that’s just normal and nothing to really comment on. Nathan and I did realize, while working on more planning for the wedding and stuff, that we’re going to need to purchase a mattress set later this year. I have a set of antique furniture that we’re going to use but there is no mattress for the bed.
The set was willed to me by one of my great Aunts and the mattress that was with it was just old and worn out. So when my parents moved the furniture to store it for me, they disposed of the mattresses. Nathan and I, before we went to visit my parents back in January, measured the rooms in his house so we know that it will fit the master bedroom.
The only problem will be getting my stuff from PA to UT. It’s looking like my brothers are going to help out by driving the stuff here for us. We’re still not completely sure yet. It’s so expensive to move anything these days. But at the same time, buying real hardwood furniture is horribly expensive as well, so it’s a tossup really.
We’ll get it figured out though; right now we’re looking at different means of moving the stuff, to see which one would be the most affordable. Honestly, every time I turn around, I’m finding something else that needs to be taken care of.
Getting married changes everything; even how you think about yourself since it’s no longer just you anymore. It’s not I’m going to need a mattress, it’s we’re going to need one. o_O I’ve been engaged for almost four months now and yet I still catch myself saying I instead of we. It’s a distinctly odd feeling. I’ve been independent and taking care of myself for so long that it’s taking getting used to. And I’m not even married yet. XD
Anyway, moving to site stuff, there was something going on that I’ve kind of kept my eye on for a while and the shit has finally hit the fan. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just go and take a look.
SomeGuy covers it in depth so I’ll not bother to explain it here. It’s just something people, especially those who have befriended this member, need to read.
