The Countdown Starts

So I decided to watch the series Glass Fleet, this after Allamorph explained a bit and linked me to the trailer for it at Funimation's site. It started off rather well since the music was nice, the animation was pretty and the melodramatic theatrics for politics, religion and such was fun.

I enjoyed it up to episode twelve. The next episode was a joke since it was nothing more than a recap episode. I hate that. It had no new material other than some talking at the beginning and the end. Total waste of time. But I figured it was no big deal since overall the show was good.

Then, it slowly started to go downhill a little. One of the biggest things I hate is when they take a strong female character and turn her into some needy little twit upon falling in love. Honestly, that just annoys the hell out of me. Falling in love doesn't mean that your intelligence and smarts suddenly dribbles out of your head.

The first one they did that too, sort of fit later on, in an odd twisted manner, but the second one they did that too was merely to make her fodder for one of the main male character's bed. They dragged her down in order to insert sex into the show.

So my verdict is that the show is worth watching once and that's about it. It's a shame really since other than certain aspects about the ending, which were so terribly convenient that it was gag worthy, it was a decent show.

Anyway, I did laundry earlier tonight and I've realized that I need some new jeans. My current ones are getting rather worn out. o_O So I need to head over to Victoria's to get some more. I just hope that the ones on sale, still have some left in my size. ._.
