"You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts." --2 Corinthians 3:3

My paternal grandparents are coming for a visit today. So, that means I might not be able to get on for the launch of the chat stuff!! [dies] I'm going to try my hardest and get on. I have no clue how late they plan on staying up [they're old, they can't go but so late, right?!] so if it's before 9 I'll definately be getting on. I have to stay up until 11 anyways to watch the Nickalodeon West run of the new Avatar: The Last Airbender episode! [go ahead, say it, 'You're a dork, Ink'.]
Had to go driving this morning. I didn't hit anything! Go me! A tractor trailer almost mowed me over when I was trying to get on the expressway. My driving instructor grabbed the wheel while I cowered in terror... We also had to learn how to parrallel park. I did it on my first try, hooray for me. Then my sister and I went to the movie rental joint and got Wuthering Heights and The Ring [she got Wuthering Heights, I got The Ring, if that says anything about our tastes...]
Anyways, I should probably head off and get ready for my grandparent's visit. Seriously, though, I'll try to get on tonight, guys!!
Today.
So...had a doctor's appointment today. It was just with my personal doctor and not a joint specialist, so she said she thought that I'd torn the ligament in my knee [I think she called it the MCL or something] or damaged the cartilege... But, she referred me to an orthopedist, so I have another appointment next Tuesday. They said I might have to have surgery depending upon how bad the problem is... Hopefully it's not that bad. I'll just keep praying that everything will work out.

Why oh why is summer almost over?! I mean, seriously! How the heck can it already be the middle of July?! Geez...
So, I've been rather bored, hence why I haven't been posting regularly... I don't want to put you all to sleep with the play-by-plays of my days. Ink goes to bed in the early morning. Wakes up mid morning. Sometimes she eats breakfast. Then she lays around the house like a vegetable. Sometimes she does productive things. Yes, I am boring. I should take up a cool hobby like juggling steak-knives or something...
We're making fiction of our lives, burning pages as we write.
So, my life's been a little bit crazy these last couple of days.... I'm just going to go over stuff one by one...so here goes.
+Got my learners before Independence Day, so I've been driving around on my road, and in the school's parking lot. And taking driver's ed every Tuesday and Thursday. Aside from an incident of almost hitting a deer on the way home from youth group Wednesday, that experience has been pretty boring.
+I just got my fall intent in the mail from the studio I dance at. I've been praying about whether or not I'm going to be taking pointe class this next year. My knee's been giving me problems for the last three years, and this past year has been the worst, so that really messed with my dancing; and, made me rethink being physically able to do pointe. As more time progressed in the class, the less and less effort I put into. My heart just wasn't with it anymore. So I've really been praying that God send me a sign. So, when I got my fall intent sheet in the mail this morning, it said that my pointe class would be from 7:45 to 8:30 on Wednesday night. Wednesday is my youth group day. So that was my sign from God. Choose God or dancing. For me, it was a no-brainer. I have a stronger commitment to my youth group--I work on the tech team, and have been chosen as a student leader. I'm not giving up my God just so I can do something I'm lukewarm about. So I'm not doing pointe this year. I'm still doing, ballet though. I've also got a job working the registration at dance come August...so that's pretty cool.
+I have a doctor's appointment next Wednesday afternoon to check out my bad knee. It's really been giving me grief lately, and it's getting to the point where I can't even sleep because, any pressure from the mattress or anything on it is painful. So hopefully, this appointment will resolve things.
+I just found out five minutes ago that my family is going to the beach. Again. Woop-de-freakin'-do. I'm really not that excited about it. My aunt [whom we visited for Independence Day], uncle [who couldn't make it to the meet up on the 4th], and my other cousin [who also didn't make it to the meetup] are coming with us. Another cousin [Geez, Ink, you've got a lot of cousins!!] might meet us at the rental house, too. I'm really actually not looking forward to another boring week of sand and heat. The water's ok for the first couple of days, and then it gets really monontonous. And then my parents guilt trip me into it. My dad really loves the beach, so I feel bad complaining about it...oh well...
+My human video team is performing at the amusement park we live near on July 21. That's pretty darn awesome, if you ask me. My youth group takes an annual trip to the park so this year, actually getting to perform on the big stage there is really awesome. We're doing 'New Americans' [this crazy video where we all do the same hand motions and everything, it's really awesome.] and 'Untitled' [It's a song by Simple Plan, where my twin sister and I play the same person, I'm watching my life play out and am narrorating it.] and then I think they're doing 'New Way to Be Human' by Switchfoot, and 'Armageddon' [this really awesome one where there's no words in the song, just musical cues to the scene they're acting out] and according to my sister's boyfriend we're also doing two new ones. We only have two practices to learn these two new videos....so that should be interesting.
+I have a student leadership meeting Sunday. I have no idea what we're going to discuss. I don't know. It's going to be a long meeting, hopefully our pastor will buy us a pizza again, that was pretty nice at the last meeting...
Ummm...yeah, that's pretty much all I can think of....
[sighs]
I'm back from my Independence Day weekend meetup with my family. I did blog about it--but for some bizarre reason, which for the life of me I can't remember, I blogged about it in Spanish... [laughing] So yeah, here's the story en ingles this time.
Got there Thursday night. Friday we kind of just meandered around one of the malls...I went rock climbing in Dick's Sporting Goods and totally twisted my bad knee so, I was limping around for the rest of the weekend. We didn't go see fireworks, we were all dead on our feet by like 7 o'clock so we just went back to the hotel and vegged out in the hot tub. My cousin and I got a good laugh because there was a lady in the hot tub who stared at us for a really long time and finally told us, "You both are so pretty are you Mediterranean?" And we both just kind of looked at each other and were like "Umm...no...we're hispanic." We get that a lot, because we just look exotic...Anyways, she then started oohing and ahing over my other cousin's 15 month old son. It was funny...
Saturday we took the baby to the zoo. It was really fun. We went to the other mall Saturday night. Had a lot of fun shopping. My mom made me buy new Converse. I love my crappy, old Cons. Their so holey they look more like Swiss cheese than shoes, but I loves them! [huggles] But, mom insisted I get a new pair, so I got some new ones...I do admit, the old ones were pretty bad. I'll have to take pictures of them so you guys can see the hobo shoes I was walking around in up until yesterday. After we got back to the hotel we 'jacked one of their lawn chairs and set up an impromtu hair salon on the front lawn of the hotel. My cousin is a hairstylist and my other cousin and I were in desperate need of haircuts, so I got my long hair chopped off, and it's short now. I really like it.
So then, we left at like 8 or so this morning and just got back about 20 minutes ago. I'm so relieved to be home. I'm glad we got to see my family, though. That was really nice. I hope everybody else had a good holiday weekend.
