Shopping Day...again...

So, I went prom-shopping again. Ok, so it's not technically for prom; we're having a banquet at my school [we can't dance there...it's a Christian school, so some people get bent out of shape about dancing...just for the record my family does not fall into that category.] and then, my sister and I found out that my parents are throwing an after-party at our house! This will be a like a after-prom dance thing[where we can actually dance!!] and a triple-birthday party. My sister's and mine birthday is earlier in May, and my cousin--who's coming to visit that weekend--is also a May-baby, so we'll be having birthday cake and everything. It's going to be one long day. I have two dance shows to perform that afternoon, then I have to run home and get ready for banquet, then come back home and party until late into the night...

Anyhow--my friends and I went shopping, and a good friend of mine got a dress for prom, and we basically ran around the mall being total dorks. We found a photo-booth and shoved the four of us into it and took a whole bunch of random pictures...I didn't buy anything shopping; but, I did get me some tastey coffee and I picked up my new glasses!! I'm happy with them. They're really cool; and a ton better than my old ones [which were broken]. I like the new frames. I usually wear my contacts; but, I might just start weaing my glasses more often.

Today was...

interesting. It was one of those days that I kind of didn't really know what was going on. I woke up about 1/2 an hour before I normally do, because our phone rang. So I figured it was divine intervention because I needed to get up early this morning anyways to print a couple of papers for science; so it was God sending me a wake-up call...So, I spent my morning sitting on the floor in our front room attempting to print science-related crap.

We got into school this morning and found that my art teacher was cleaning/rearranging her room, and that our art class was in charge of blocking out several of the large windows in the cafeteria so it'd be easier for the elementary kids to watch a movie this afternoon...so I spent my morning climbing all over windows/chairs/moving large heavy desks. Science we had a subsitute teacher [we were all really happy, our sub was a lady who taught here last year then got married so she didn't come back teaching; but, we all really loved her] and our actual teacher left us a ton of work to do...I got it done in time to ditch and write the rest of my paper about 'coal'. Yes, I had to write an entire paper about the mineral, coal. I spent the majority of the paper talking about evil children getting it in their stockings.

Lunch was good. It's finally warm here, so I ate my craptastic pizza outside...

We had a pep-rally...took part in a contest to see who could sing a song about our fundraiser...my group was hilarious [we had a boy in the back who was purposefully singing loudly and off-key] but we didn't win...The prize wasn't good anyways.

History class was half taken-over by the pep-rally, so we spent the rest of it putting up bulliten boards...ok, so, I spent it sitting in the library carrying on a lengthy conversation with a friend of mine about anime.

And now, I'm technically supposed to be in gym...but, I'm skipping class. I have a hurt knee/ankle so I'm down in the computer lab. My mom [who is my gym teacher] told me it was ok for me to be down here, just so long as I don't get on any bad websites. Not that'd I'd look at risque things, she means myspace...my school is under a myspace ban, you can't look at it in the school. Which, doesn't really matter to me anyways, I don't get on there.

Who else besides me is uber-glad it's Friday? I know I'm ready for a weekend...

Human Video Clip and My Complaints about Dance Class

Bring Me To Life--human video at The Ramp.

This is one of the human video's I'm going to be performing at a festival coming up in May. We are kind of stealing their human video and portraying it ourselves. So, that's not us up on that big stage... I know it's a really long clip; but, if you watch it long enough to see the chick in the big white cape [she's playing the Holy Spirit] that's my part. Ever.so.silently is one of the creepy people with the books and then a creepy person with a mask on.

I'm so tired...I've had a really long day.

I have 'parent visitation' tonight at pointe class. I hate parent visitation...it feels like I have to be perfect, and so I end up pushing myself too hard and getting hurt, but then dancing through the pain so my parents will think I'm good. I'm quitting pointe next year. I really love it--but, then again I hate it. I hate having to go to the class and doing the same thing for an hour and a half every single week. It's just taking too much out of me. I've danced for so long I have so many problems with my legs. I can barely bend my knees and when I try to stand up my hips/knees/ankles crack like I'm 50 years older than I actually am...It's just not worth it anymore...

Home again, Home again...

So, I'm back from my mini-trip yesterday/today. My cousin lives about 2 hours from where I am, and so her parents [my aunt and uncle] came to visit her so my family took the two hour drive to visit them as well. We went down there about 8 yesterday morning; and went to some gardens and went shopping then went to a Japanese steakhouse for dinner. It was one of those places where they cook the food in front of you. Our chef liked me, apparently. He had this joke called 'special sauce' [a sauce bottle that when squeezed it straw-like thing out of it] that he shot in my face...and he flicked the shrimp tails at me...and gave me extra food. He was fun. He was impressed that I could eat rice with chopsticks...

I'm tired.

Today is the beginning of standardized-testing week at school. This would be a problem if I actually had to take the tests! But, I don't!! Haha. The only high-schoolers who have to take them are the ninth graders. Tenth and eleventh took the PSATs this year, so we wormed our way out of doing the testing; and they don't even have a test for the seniors. So, for the half-a-day that the ninth graders are being tortured, the rest of us get to be lazy and stay home. I have to head over to the school after lunch for my classes--they've been shortened so that we can take them all in 2 % 1/2 hours--but still, that means that I don't really have to do anything. We also have this same schedule for tomorrow...but, I'm going out of state tomorrow, so I won't be at school at all! I guess it's good, because I stayed up 'til about midnight last night and didn't wake up 'til late...ok, so it was late for me... [it was about 8:45 when I woke up]

So...um....how is everyone?
