Back home from vacation. Gotta say I'm pretty happy to be home. Mainly because I have internet now. It was really weird not having access to the internet. We were roughin' it out there at the beach. [laughs] So I actually had a pretty awesome time. I always forget how much I enjoy spending time with my mom's family. It's in stark contrast to my dad's family where everyone's a ton older than I am [all my cousins are a lot older, and if they're even remotely close to my age, they don't ever talk to me] but my mom's family is all lovely-dovey and we laughed and cried had wrestled sharks. Ok, a bit of a lie on the last one, but my guy cousin did catch a shark one of the last days we were there. We were all proud of him. Overall it was a really awesome trip, glad to see them again. I think they're going to come visit again at Thanksgiving, so though it's a couple of months away, I'm sure they'll pass fast.
Um... What else? What else? Oh, if you haven't read The Stand by Steven King, I command you now, go read it. I cried a lot during it, laughed a lot, and completely fell in love with it. It scared the crap out of me, but regardless it was good. I really liked it, so it's go me interested in some of his other books.
In other news, also book related, Stephenie Meyer's new book came out today, and of course Amazon screwed up our pre-order, so we didn't get it today. But, fear not, my older sister and mom are running over to Barnes and Noble as we speak to see if they have it. I'm crossing my fingers and praying that they do. I can't really get on deviantArt now without spoilers for it, so I'll have to be somewhat internet-dead for however long it takes me to read it...
Um. So, I only have a couple weeks left until school starts. [cries] I guess I'm going to have to make them count. I start work sometime in the next couple of weeks. [And being the forgetful person that I am, I have actually forgotten when I'm supposed to start...I have it written down, so it's not so bad, but I really should remember these things...] And then I think Monday my mom's going to call the doctor's office to see if the results are in for my MRI and the blood tests they did to see what's up with my knee. I'm kind of waiting with baited breath for the diagnosis... My knee really was starting to hurt me by the end of this week, and after I got out of the car today [after being in it for almost 7 hours] it started to pop in and out of joint like crazy, so I stopped trying to help unload the car and came in here and got on the internet. [Read: Ink is a lazy bum; albiet a lazy bum with a good excuse for being a lazy bum.] Hopefully it's nothing too bad.
