So, this will be my last post of 2008. How weird is that? I'm currently just taking it easy because of the New Year's Lock-In at my youth group tonight. I have to get there at 8:30 [because of a student leadership meeting, the actual thing doesn't start until 10] so I'm just lazing around the house so I won't totally pass out tonight.

I'm actually really glad that I go to a really big, really awesome youth group--because we usually have really cool parties. The best year by far was when we had laser-tag. That was so fun--we've actually been banned from having that anymore because apparently some of the people decided to take advantage of how dark it was on the inside of the laser-tag thing. So we can't have it anymore. Argh. Another year we had a mechanical bull [which really wasn't that fun, it kind of hurt] and now this year we have ultimate volleyball [which is like volleyball inside one of those inflatable castles that kids jump in at festivals and stuff] and human bowling. Hopefully it will be fun. We have a local band that's going to come play and our human video team is also performing. I have to help judge the talent show--and my sister has to referee 3-on-3 basketball tournament. It's going to be interesting.

So looking back on '08, I do believe I've done everything I wanted to do. I actually went back and found my new year's post from last year on myOtaku...so here let's see if I've done what I wanted to do [I copied and pasted from myO]

+Ink wants to read the Bible more. I kind of achieved this one..not as much as I had wanted to but I worked on it.
+Ink wants to learn Japanese. She got a book on how to learn it, so she's going to study. Yeah, I totally failed at this...
+Ink also wants to get a job, so she had monies for college and anime related schutff. I got a job! I'm a teacher's assistant at the dance studio, and I also fill in occasionally as the secretary.
+Ink wants to stop talking in the third-person. [Kidding.] Ink shall never stop talking in the third person...
+I want to write more. Write a TON more. Seriously. I actually achieved this!!! I wrote one full length 20 chapter story, a couple of short stories, tried to re-write The Branded--failed at that but I have plans to try that again--and I'm currently writing something I want to publish!
+I want to draw better and more voluminously. [Did I spell that right?!] Eh fail. That's all I have to say about that.
+I want to eat healthier... Or at least try to eat healthier. I've tried--and I recently decided that I don't need to try to lose weight anymore, I'd originally wanted to stop eating so much because I was going to get fat, but I currently weigh 118, so I'm good.
+I want to try to feel better about myself. [ie. feel pretty, not feel like an outsider because guys don't like me, not freak out because I fail test/quizzes, ect.] I've been ok about this. I've tried at it. Guys do like me now, ok one guy but he counts because he got up the courage to ask me out...I still freak out about failing tests, but that's just my nature...

So, I guess my goals for 2009 will be more of the same. Only more pointed. I want to get accepted into college early so I don't have to worry about things my senior year. I want to maybe get a better-paying job...maybe not. I want to get my driver's license. I'm also hoping to continue writing, and maybe finish my new manuscript.

So Happy New Year Everybody! I hope 2008 has been a good year for all of you, and hope that '09 will be even better!
