My Dreamer is the collaboration series between stellar artist Timbermoonkiss and that other artist, your's truly, sonnyparadisewish. What I mean by collaboration is that we both own the story. We don't literally work together. It's not her art and my witty story. We each have individual versions. My version is version one.
Okay, so what is My Dreamer about?
MY DREAMER is about a girl named Ciara whose life is pretty much perfect-top of class, perfect family, tons of great friends and of course the perfect man-but that all changes when she and her sister and their best friend are dared to sneak into this haunted mansion. While there, her sister steals this music box. After that Ciara is stalked by a ghost who calls herself the princess of the dead. The ghost tells Ciara she will stop haunting her and causing her misery if she returns the music box to the girl's grave. Ciara agrees but instead of getting her perfect life back, the ghost girl is brought to life and begins to haunt Ciara in the flesh. After a lot of negotiating, Ciara agrees to help the girl find this treasure that is supposed to have great power. So Ciara sells her soul to the princess of death. Along with her sister and best friend, who also eventually sell their souls, Ciara will fight off dark spirits, abnoxious(sp?) gods, scorned goddesses, one mischievious angel, and one devious devil all while going to school, parties, and on dates. Will Ciara ever get her perfect life back?
Okay, now to put it simply:
A girl who has a perfect life sells her soul to a ghost and is put in this adventure in order to find some great treasure. The problem: There are others who want it and aren't willing to give it up without a fight...
There are ofcourse many different sides to this manga:
1.)It's an action/adventure manga-Ciara must got through all this challanges and trials in order to achieve the treasure for Hera.
2.)It's kinda dark...-Devils and Angels, very emo/gothic beings who like to eat human life energy(devils suck blood, angels kiss). Also they dress like that and there are a lot of insane people who should be in the asylum; and one of our leads, Hera, is one of those insane people.
3.)It's kinda Shogo...-Not really magical girl, but it is about girls and their adventure. Can't say there is any eyecandy cause I'm not a guy but there are panty scenes and girly moments and plenty of blaming things on PMS-ing.(what girl doesn't blame the horrible things in life on PMS-ing?) I'm not saying guys won't enjoy it but it does aim at chicks..
4.)Romance!-I love love! hehe. It's kinda teen drama-like when it comes to the romance. Ya know, the she likes him but sort of has feelings for the other guy but her bff likes the other guy and is aiming for him. That stuff. I can tell you only one relationship is definetly fixed from the get-go, others develope within time.
5.)Bishi-ness rules!-There are plenty of hotties in the story and they are all different and mysterious and cool; you will probably find at least one that you totally like.
So that is what's in MD.
Just so you know, it'll take a while before MD comes out. Until then I'll be sure to put in fanart under original manga/anime. Stayed tune, though, cause I'm working on volume 1.
