here is a little taste of the fanfic i am writing called Digimon X:
Digimon X:
A fanfic about the Digimon Series. About 40 years after Digimon adventure 02, the desendents of the digidestined all meet and set off on an adventure to save the Digital World and the Real World from danger.
~+~Chapter one: Kiyotaka~+~
It was a sad day at the Yagami household on April 7, 2032. It was the day that the eldest son, Kiyotaka Yagami, died protecting his faithful digital partner, Agumon. The death of Kiyotaka hurt everyone, but clearly not as much as it hurt his nine year old brother, Kaito.
"How could they let this happen? How could they let this happen to you?" Kaito sobbed in the rain as he stood in front of his brother's grave. "Why, Kiyo, why did you leave us?" He couldn't stand the pain and his throat and eye's burned from crying so much. "Please, Kiyo, come back. Come back Kiyotaka! Come back!" He fell to his knees, and his suit was covered in mud. "Kiyo...Kiyo....Kiyo...."
"KIYO!" Kaito jumped out of bed and out of his dream. He sat in bed breathing heavely and staring around at his cluttered room. Kaito whipped some sweat off his forehead and then layed back down in his bed. "Gosh, Kai, it was just a dream," he said as he looked over to his hologram clock. "April 4, 2039-almost seven years since that day and your still dreaming about it!? Come on, Kai, get a grip!" He shouted at himself. The room was dark and the floor was covered in holograph-azines and clothes and other gadgets. "It's probably way early, too early to get ready for school," he moaned. "I'll just get some more shut eye..." Within a couple seconds he fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Kaito's younger sister, Yumi Yagami, got up and began to get ready for school. She was in a rush since she woke up so late.
"I can't believe I overslept!" She shouted as she ran to the bathroom with her makeup case, purse, school uniform and other necesities in hand. She managed to grab the door before her father got in. Taichi Yagami stood at the door-toothbrush in his mouth, shaving cream on his face and shaver in hand-as his teenage daughter glided into the bathroom and shut the door in his face. He stood there for two minutes then decided to move on.
Inside Yumi began her morning rituals. Shampoo her hair and then Mega dry it with the new Hairdrier X-treme(a hair drier that attached to her head and did all the work). Then she pressed in a code into her Ultimate Hairstyler(nicknamed Fabio) and placed in on her head when the drier was done. Quickly it twisted Yumi's hair into an elaborate updo with sparkly heartshaped pins to hold it up. Meanwhile, she began applying makeup by using her Make-up 360 case. She typed in what she wanted and the makeup case began to work magic on her face.
After 5 minutes she was done and walked out, passing her dad on the way. Taichi glared at her as he headed in with his shaver and news-hologram. "Sorry daddy but it's hard work to keep up such a beautiful look and stylish due!"
"Yeah sure. Hard work for your hightech gadgets, " Taichi murmured as Yumi waltzed to her room.
When inside she walked over to her oversized closet. In the middle was the new Insto-clothes-changer-3000. All you had to do was attach the outfit you were going to where to a hanger and put in the hanger's code. Then you would have to step inside of the Circular machine and it would instantly switch your clothing. Yumi stepped up to the machine and put her uniform on one of the hangers. Then she punched in the code and walked into the machine. No more than five seconds later, she was out fully dressed and accessorized(a new feature on the Isto-changer).
"Perfect!" She smirked and began to admire herself in her mirror. As she smiled and posed at her reflection, the Yagami Family's maidbot came by with Yumi's backbag.
"Wow, you look totally glam, as usual, Ms. Yagami! Here is your bag, " the small robot handed her the bag.
"Thankyou!" Yumi gladly took the bag. "Now I'm ready for school, and just in time!" She smiled as she looked at her watch. 15 more minutes and school started.
"Yes, you are, but aren't you forgeting something?" The maidbot asked.
Yumi thought hard about the question. I've got the perfect hair, perfect makeup, perfect accessories-the perfect everything! what could be missing! she thought. "No...what am I missing?"
"More like who!" the maidbot laughed as she walked out.
"Oh no!-" Yumi knew what she was missing "-Kaito!"

It took about 5 minutes to get Kaito up and out of bed and then it took another five minutes for him to get ready. During the whole ten minutes, Kaito and Yumi argued like crazy.
"Kai you're so stupid! Why don't you set up your hologram-clock to wake you up for school?!" Yumi yelled.
"I did! It just malfunctioned!" Kaito argued.
"Or maybe you're just too lazy to get up when it beeps! Did you set it up so it only beeped once!?"
"Maybe!" Kaito didn't feel like justifing himself to Yumi. He decided to ignore her as her put his stuff together.
Taichi did the same. He sat back on the coach and watched the morning news. He was very distracted by a news report on the famous Digimon Savers-the elite group of young people who train digimon to protect everyone and the United Worlds(formally known as the Digital World and the Real World). He was so engrossed as they talked about the new and upcoming season, in which new officers were chosen. He nearly jumped out of his seat when Kai and Yumi stormed in. He flipped the channel to the Cooking Channel where superstar chef Mimi Darcy(she married a southerner who was half english half japanese named Teru Darcy) was whipping up another recipe with her digimon partner, Palmon(who had digivolved to Lillymon for this episode). Taichi became engrossed in the show as his two teenagers complained that there was nothing for breakfast.
"Why isn't there anyfood!?" Kai groaned.
"We don't have time for food!" Yumi screamed and tried to pull him out the door.
"But I'm hungry!" Kai complained.
"Then I'm just in time." Yumi and Kai looked up, startled. Standing in the doorway was a tall woman, in her early twenties, with long dark blue hair and glasses. She was remarkably beautiful and had an hourglass shaped body.
"Megumi!" Kai and Yumi cheerfully said in unison. the two ran to the girl and hugged her tightly. Megumi Ichijouji was a good friend of the Yagamis. Since their mom was off on a long buissiness trip, Kai and Yumi considered Megumi their care taker for when their mom was gone. She was also the daughter of their dad's good friend, Ken Ichijouji.
"I brought some lunch!" She smiled. Taichi, Kai, and Yumi followed her to the kitchen. She revealed a large box that was filled with eggs, bacon and sausage. Their mouths watered as they looked at it. Kai was about to reach in for some food when Yumi stopped him.
"Not that we don't love and appreciate the food but we have 3 minutes to get to school!" Yumi panicked. She grabbed Kai and began to drag him out.
"What! Wait!" He yelled, releasing from her grip. "I almost forgot!" He began racing donw the hallway to his bedroom. When he got inside he began to push away clothes and books.
"Kai! Come on, we're gonna be late!" Yumi yelled from the entrance of the house. Just then Kai found a pair of dark blue goggles that had yellow tinted lenses.
"Got 'em!" He smiled. He ran back to the door and out as he stuffed the goggles in his pocket. "Couldn't forget my lucky goggles!"
The two dashed out the door and onto the cluttered streets of Odaiba, hoping to get to school on time.
As they left, Megumi picked up a picture of a young man. He had short, spiky brown hair and hazel eyes. "Kiyotaka..." she let a tear escape from her eye as she looked at the last picutre of the Yagami's eldest son. Megumi was Kiyotaka's girlfriend and she had never moved onto another man.
"Yeah, we all miss him, " Taichi said, looking up from his breakfast and into Megumi's eyes.
"I just....I just can't believe that it has almost been seven years since the insident...."

in an unfamilar place where their are many computers...
"Kaito Yagami." A picture of a spiky haired(but not totally huge like taichi) brunette boy flashed onto the screen. To the left of his picture there was data. Things like age, full name, address and school.
"Could he be the one you are searching for?" A tall boy with light brown hair and chocolate brown eyes asked. He was wearing a uniform(similar to those in Digimon Savers) that was blue and white. His jacket had a badge that said "BLUE BIRGADE." Around his neck was a whistle...
"Yes, he is the one who must lead the digidestined. If we do not get him to join then there will be no hope for the United Worlds. The Digital world will crash into the Real world. This will cause a large explosion that will destroy our world, " a tall dark figure with shades said. His back was to the boy and he did not turn once to look at him.
"What should we do?" The boy asked.
"I need you to go and look for him, Rei. Find him and convince him to join the Digimon Savers."
"You know he won't do that, he doesn't even have a liscense to own a digimon*!" Rei protested.
*-at some point all humans were able to get a digimon partner. to be safe, they had to get a liscense.
"Rei, listen to me, if someone else talks to him, he'll say no, but if you talk to him he may consider," the dark man said.
"What makes you so sure?" Rei asked. The tall dark figure looked at him and took of his glasses. He was tall and blond with blue eyes....
"Because you're his cousin, " he said. Then he put his glasses in his pocket and walked out of the dark room. As he passed by Rei he said, "And he doesn't have a big brother to convince him to join."
"I know that!" Rei angrily replied after the man walked out of the room. Rei turned to look at the screen again. He looked at the familiar face for a while. "Man, Kai, you look a lot like Kiyotaka, " Rei laughed. "I guess I'll have to get you to join....No matter how much you blame Digimon Savers for your brother's death." He let out a deep breath and walked out of the dark room.
He climbed into a taxi. "Odaiba high, please, " he told the driver. Then they were off.

"Hurry!" Yumi screamed, "We're gonna miss the speed walk!" School would be starting in about 2 minutes. So they needed to hurry. luckily the very smart and famous Professor Izumi Koushiro had invented the speed walk which would get them there in a jiffy.
"There it is!" Yumi smiled as she dashed past the laser gate and onto the speed walk. Kai wasn't as lucky. The gate turned red, which meaned he couldn't get on and would have to wait five minutes. "Catch ya later, Kai!" Yumi laughed as she zoomed away.
"Not so fast!" Kai climbed up into a tree and then jumped. Everyone down below starred up, startled. Luckily, he safely landed on the speed walk.
"Oh..Pooie!" Yumi stuck out her tounge as her brother caught up to her.
"Ha! I made it!" Kai laughed.
"Yeah, barely, " Yumi replied. Kai reached over to ruffle her hair and she began to whine. Within a few seconds they reached the school.

at the school, a few minutes earlier
A large crowd of boys formed at the front of Odaiba High School. There was only 4 more minutes left before class, but that didn't matter to these studs. They came by to check out the two new girls that would be attending their school that day.
"Hiya boys!" a tall girl with grayish-brown hair that was in a stylish bob said as she winked to the boys. She was lean with long legs and pale skin. She had gray eyes.
"Oh, Yue, stop flirting with them, we have other things we have to do, " the other girl said. The other girl was just as pretty. She was also lean with long legs and pale skin. She had blue eyes. Her hair was neck length and was blond. She wore many different hair pins and such in her hair.
"Come on, Lin, lighten up! This is the only day we get to go to public school, " Yue said as she blew a kiss at a couple of boys, causing them to faint. She giggled and continued to wink and wave to the boys surrounding her.
"Can this girl really be the daughter of the oh-so serious Iori Hida?" Lin whispered to herself. They stood there for a few more minutes until the teachers started warning the students to hurry to class.
"Do you think he was here?" Yue asked Lin as they followed the huge crowd of rushing students into the building.
"You mean Yagami? Maybe. We'll just have to wait and see what Rei is going to do about it." The two girls headed to the main office to get their schedules.
When they walked out the final warning bell rang. "Looks like we won't have time to look for him-" Lin added, "-class is about to begin." The two girls rushed to their homerooms, ready for their first and only day of public school.

Yumi made it into her classroom in time. As for Kai, well.....He wasn't as lucky.
"Kaito Yagami! How dare you come to my class late!" Mrs. Kotobuki yelled. The class giggled as Kai got a verbal beating by the teacher.
"Sorry, I overslept!"
"That is not a good excuse!" Mrs. Kotobuki began to hit him with her teachers roster on the head. "Atleast come up with something interesting Mr. Yagami, not the 'I overslept' buissiness!"
"Well atleast it's more interesting than your class!" Kaito said a bit too loud. Okay, really loud. Mrs. Kotobuki got so mad that she hit him 5 times on the head as the whole class died of laughter.
"Mr. Yagami take your seat! And do not cause anymore trouble!" She yelled as he walked down the aisle to his seat.
When he reached his seat, the kid next to him turned to speak. "Hey Kai, you might want to think the insults and not say them!" It was Kai's best friend, Rob. Rob's real name was unkown to Kai, he just liked calling him Rob. The two had been best friends since they were little. Rob was a short skinny guy with black hair. His bangs were so long, they covered his eyes whenever he looked down. He had glasses and was extremely smart. An idiot like Kai was lucky to have him as a friend.
"Yeah, i know!" He pouted, embarrassed about the beating. But all that shame was about to go away is a few seconds....
"Class I have an annoucement, so quiet down, " Mrs. Kotobuki said. Everyone quieted down as she continued to speak, "For today only, we have two students joining us. They are cadets at the Digimon Central Academy. There they are training ot become members of the Digimon Savers. Please welcome them and help them get around."
Great! Just what I needed, some stuck up Digimon Savers to ruin my life! Kai thought. He always hated the Digimon Savers, ever since his brother died during a mission. His father also said that he was not allowd to get a liscense to have a digimon.
Kai became gloomy and angry. That is, until she came in....
"Please welcome the new students for the day, Miss Yue Hida....And Miss Lin Ishida." Into the room came two beauties. First was a tall girl with brown hair that was in a bob and gray eyes. Then there was the most beautiful sight that Kai had ever seen.
"Wow..." Kai smiled as he looked at her. She was tall and blond. She was lean with long legs. Her eyes were blue and were the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen. "She's hott!" Kai whispered to Rob. Rob just chuckled.
"Please introduce yourselves, ladies."
"Okay, I'm Yue Hida! My dad is a very famous lawyer. I'm nothing like him-I'm fun, happy go lucky. I love hanging out and going shopping. I hope we have a fun day here!" Yue winked and all the guys melted, if that were possible.
"Hi, I'm Lin Ishida. I grew up in Hokkaido but moved here three years ago. Since then, I have been training to become an officer for Digimon Savers. I hope we have a great day together." Lin was much more polite than Yue. All the boys began to murmur to one another.
One day!? Pfft. I'll win her heart! I know I will! Kai thought. The girls were sat close to Kai. Yue was infront of him and Lin was across from him. Yue turned to say hi.
"Hi. Hey, Lin. Welcome to Odaiba High, " Kai smiled to Lin.
She turned and nodded at him, "Hi..."
"Don't try and talk to her, she is so stirct and all, she doesn't talk during class!" Yue laughed. "Woah-hey! You're kinda cute..."
Kai blushed mad as Yue looked away giggling and Lin began to laugh with her.

The rest of the morning dragged. Kai and Rob were to escort the girls around. Perfect moment for Kai to talk to Lin....NOT! Yue had Kai busy flirting. Meanwhile Rob and Lin were talking about Digimon and modern technology.
"So Kai, do you have a Digimon?" Yue asked. She was very perky.
"Umm, I don't think you should bring up Digimon, " Rob but in.
"Nonesense! Kai, tell us, " Yue said.
"Umm...I don't have one. I mean, I don't want one..."
"What do you mean?" Lin asked.
"Well....My brother was a member of Digimon Savers and he was killed during a mission.....So...I don't want a digimon...."
"You mean you're Yagami!?" Lin and Yue asked in unison.
Just when Kai was going to answer, A voice called over to Lin and Yue. "Lin! Yue! Come on, we have to go to central! An issue came up!" Kai looked over to see two boys their age standing there. One was really tall and had a medium built. He had orange hair that was necklength and brown eyes. He looked very serious. The other had a more childish expression. His hair was light purple and his eyes were brown. He was shorter than the other but still tall.
"Toya! Ryo!" Lin called over to them, smiling and waving.
Could one of them be her boyfriend? Kai nervously looked at the girls as they rushed to the boys. Yue stopped to smile and wink at them. Lin jumped into Toya giving him a huge hug. A wave of sadness crashed into Kai as he watched them breifly hug.
"Hey, Lin. Let's go everyone. We better hurry." The four walked away. Yue turned around to blow a kiss at Kai and Rob and wave goodbye. The boys just watched as the four walked away.
"Darn Digimon Savers..." Kai mumbled as he hurried to his afternoon classes.

"Attack Gabumon!" Toya shouted through the blasts.
"Blue Blaster!" A small furry dog like creature jumped up into the air, letting out a blue blast from his mouth. the blast hit a large parrot like digimon.
"Good job Gabumon!" Toya smiled to his digital partner.
"Now it's your turn Biyomon!" Lin nodded to her birdlike digital partner.
The pink bird chirped of excitment as she shouted, "Spiral Twister!"
At the same time, a small green worm like digimon shouted, "Sticky net!" The combined blast weakened the Parrotmon.
"Now it's your turn, Armadillomon! Get 'em!" Yue cheered.
"Diamond Sheild!" Armadillomon's attack defeated the Parrotmon. The weak bird digimon fell to it's feet.
"Great job, gang! We did it!" Ryo highfived everyone. When he went to Toya, Toya turned away and began to walk towards the Parrotmon.
"Alright Parrotmon, let me collect the dark data in you and then report your liscense to Central, " Toya pushed back his sleeve on his right arm. Around his wrist was a device. It was square shaped and had a touch screen. His was blue and white. He pressed a green button on the touch screen which opened a holographic screen. He began to enter in some codes and then he pointed the device towards Parrotmon. A lazer came out from the device and began to scan the digimon. As it did, data began to come off of the digimon. It was dark data, the data that makes a digimon become evil. Soon all the dark data was off of the digimon.
"I'll scan it, " Yue said, serious for once. She pulled out her device, which was blue and yellow, and began to scan the digimon herslef. "My D-4 digivice says that this digimon is an illegal one. There is no liscense for this Parrotmon."
"That's weird, " Lin said. "All Digimon in the Human world must have a liscense and a human partner in order to live in this world..."
"Then someone is letting digimon illegally come into the Human world, " Ryo said, angered at the thought.
"Hey, Rei, what does Yagami have to do with this..." Toya's statement startled everyone, they began to look around until they heard a chuckle from behind.
"So you knew I was here? Good, Captains of Birgades need to have great senses, " Rei laughed as he walked out from the shadows.
"I knew you were following us since we left Odaiba Highschool."
"Well, I was sent there originally to check out Yagami, but you guys were more interensting, " He replied. "Anyway, I don't know why Central Command is asking me to get him to join, but what i do know is that it is none of your buissiness and you should stay out of my missions." Rei was mad.
"Sorry, we were curious!" Yue said.
"Yeah, we just wanted to know what was so special about him anyway. I mean, he doesn't have a digimon and he doesn't want one!" Ryo laughed.
"I know! That's what makes it all confusing, but he's gotta join!" Rei replied. "It's probably because he is Kiyotaka's younger brother and Kiyotaka was the best Digimon Saver ever!"
"No, it's because he is a Yagami-son of Taichi Yagami, the first Digimon Saver, and Kiyotaka's younger brother. He was meant to lead the Digimon Savers." Toya began to walk away, tired and ready to call it a day.
"Whatever, just stay out of my missions and continue to train. Becoming a Digimon Saver should be your top priority." Rei began to walk away in the other direction.
"Where are you going, Rei?" Ryo asked.
"To visit family, " Rei replied. No one asked anymore questions. They knew who he was going to see.....

no it's not the end of chapter one! my hands hurt too much so i stopped. Sooo...wat do you think? am i a good writer an dare you excited for the rest of chapter one and more digimon X action?
this is how i imagine Kai. I tried to think wat would tai's son look like when he was sixteen(something i forgot in the preview).
So i came up with an abnoxious(sp.?) looking guy with brown spiky hair and goggles. I didn't want his hair to be too big like Tai's. I don't want people to think of Kai as a Tai look-a-like but more as what Tai's son would be like. So i made his hair shorter. I was debating weather to put extra color in his hair(it's plain brown) but i thought it would be to weird for a digimon leader to have funky hair. so it's plain. and i know this is a really bad doodle, but it is just to give you an idea.
