Here I abandon peace and desecrated law, Fortune it is you I follow. Farewell to treaties, from now on, War is our judge.

Hail Caesar. We who are about to die, Salute you.

Big City

Today Laurie took me to New York City. I am exhausted. So many people...wasn't allowed to carry Arnulfa...sooo many people. And noises. And dirt and grossness. Granted, Laurie does have a nice apartment. He always has nice apartments though.

The reason, he took me to NYC, is the Metropolitan Opera was playing La Boheme and I havn't seen it since it debuted in whatever year...I believe it was at La Scala. I could be wrong.

Considering I had to dress up in a pretty dress and do my hair and stuff, I was rather disappointed in how it was 'interpreted'...it was all modernish with electric backgrounds and lights...the music was good and the singing, but the actual set and costumes failed to impress me. Of course mingling with rich snobby people is always fun...you can be crude and utterly horrify them, but get away with it because you have more money than they do~

Afterwards, Laurie took me to a fancy eating place and made me suffer through dancing in those awful high heels while we waited for our food. He enjoys showing me off and making people think I'm his girlfriend or something ridiculous. He has a girlfriend, but she has about as many brains as a sack of horseshoes. All looks you know. Sorta like a marble statue....pretty to look at, but not really good for much. *she doesn't like me either*

And now I'm home, and still havn't gotten out of the dress. The heels I ditched though, somewhere in the hallway. Spiteful things. So yeah. That was my day.

Return

So, for anyone who had been reading my posts in the Dead Zone world, this is the same thing. It kept getting removed and none of the admins would ever response to my PM's, so I created a new world and am hoping that the name change will keep it from going away.

Quick update, we finally whipped the Kuma Tai and were so glad to get back to the cool mountains. If anymore desert enemies challenge me, I will tell them to come fight on my own turf.

We've had several smaller battles since then, none of any particular note. The one we just returned from lasted six days and was compleatly miserable.

The first day was pretty good, but that night it came in and started to rain, so both sides pulled back for the night to rest in hopes that the rain would stop. It didn't stop. We ended up fighting in a mud hole for three days. On the evening of the third day, we called it quits and both retreated to our respective camps to wait it out. Nothing like sleeping in a wet tent with wet gear, wet wolves and a wet smelly guy. *wrinkles nose* Not that I smelled any better.

The worst part about fighting in the mud is that wounds get dirty so easily and with the excess amount of water, your skin doesn't heal right.

Anyways, after a day of waiting, we got tired of waiting and attacked. Fought all day, all night and finally won the battle this evening. We came home and washed and washed and washed. Washed ourselves, our horses, our gear...I took a long bath and then a long shower and am now sitting nice and dry and CLEAN in front of the fire.

So yes, that's what's been going on. With any luck this world will stay and I can keep updated on things.
