Thor

So ...(Is it just me, or do I use that word in opening alot?) *ahem* Last night Laurie kidnapped me from the library because he was bored and his most recent girlfriend left, so he wanted to watch movies. Of course he can't be satisfied with watching movies ALONE.

Anyways, despite my complaints, we ended up watching Thor. By the end of that disgraceful movie, Laurie had realized his mistake. I mean, did the people who made that movie do any research into our religion AT ALL?! *huff* An Asian AND a Black man? No, just no. And Sif...SHE WAS BLONDE. And she wasn't a warrior, she was the goddess of the Earth. Gaaahhhh...AND she was married to Thor.

I will admit that Thor was very nice to look at and I think I may have to kidnap whoever portrayed Loki. Thor and Loki were never ever ever 'related' by adoption or other wise either.

Lets see...Heimdall, wasn't black, he was blonde and a brother of Thor and he had a horn, Gjallarhorn, not a sword. They did get the Bifrost pretty correct as a rainbow bridge.

The Frost Giants, didn't live on Jotunheimr, but on Niflheim. (Yes, that's probably where Nibleheim comes from in FFVII) And they weren't called Jotunn, that refers to the entire race of Giants, but they are called Hrimthurs.

I could go on, but I won't. Needless to say, I got ice cream out of the deal, so it wasn't ALL bad...per se...

Update

No I'm not dead, sorry to disappoint anyone. Haven't been doing anything worth writing about really, so why bother.

My men and I recently returned from battle and now we're just resting up. The battle it's self went well; would have went better if they hadn't decided to fight in rocky desert terrain. My shoulders got sun burnt - -. No great injuries; I took a spear to the shoulder, sprained my ankle which threw my hip further out of whack than it already is, and gashed my eye socket open, but nothing major.

My men sustained the usual cuts and bruises of course.

There's no feeling quite like coming home, especially when there is someone waiting for you. Hot shower is nice too..but not as nice as seeing someone you missed...

Anyways.
