The title comes partly from real irony and partly from the facts that the stupid people in my english class don't know what irony is.
So the irony is this:
"Go put it in the gournd, go bury it somewhere it cant be found."
This refers to Matthew Good throwing his wedding ring in a lake so he wouldn't be able to go get it. Thats what I had planned on.
When I asked Billy if he wanted his ring back he said, "Nah, you can keep it, or just, like, chuck it in the river or something."
It freaked me out. I said, "Thats weird."
And he just shrugged. He misunderstood what I meant.
Today (not part of the irony) this kid I know, Jacob, told me I should date Hector, who is from Mexico and lived in Thailand for a while.
1st: WAY TOO FUCKING SOON.
2nd: Slight language barrier. He sometimes asks what stuff means.
Like today Jacob told him he had a bat in the cave, referring to his snotty nose, but Hector thought he meant something else entirley and was confused. You know, teenagers have dirty minds.
