I've been feeling kind of down lately because the fourth anniversary of Ryuzaki's death is tomorrow. Sometimes I think about all the aliases he has had: L, Ryuzaki, Hideki Ryuga, Eraldo Coil.
No doubt I've missed several, but I'm just naming them off the top of my head.
I don't think I'll cry like I did when I first read and watched the series, but I will remember him and keep his spirit alive.
I think the best way to remember our favourite, sugar-crazed, insomniac, is to add a little sweetness to our day. A little extra syrup on our pancakes, a little extra honey on our toast, or an extra scoop of sugar in our tea. It reminds us that though life can be bitter and sad at times, it is also sweeet and wonderful.
Rest in peace, Lawliett. You remain in our hearts forever. ♥
