I hate the holidays, and I really wasn't looking foward to Christmas that much until my mom got back from the store today. XD She bought a ginger bread house for me and my sister to build. Ah the little things that make me happy XD Dosen't take much does it ^^
My sister and I were cleaning out the music files on the comp today and we found some really old songs that brought back some great anime memories XD then I started thinking bout when I first started to love anime.....I remember it so well. I was at the school fair and everyone had gone home. Me, my sister and my friend Meredith were combing the school yard for the cheap prizes and money that people may have dropped. I was over by the monkey bars and sticking outta the sand I saw a brownish plastic thing. I walked over, picked it up and was taken aback by what I had found. Twas a little mouse like action figure with weird shaped ears, a ligthen bolt tail and kangaroo feet. I looked into its painted black eyes and though CUUUUUUUUTE! Later I found out that this creature was Raichu, the evolvation of the little yellow electric mouse known as Pikachu. And that was that, I was hook.
If it han't been for that little Raichu action figure I would not know the joys of anime or video games, for I brought my first hand held so I could play Pokemon Gold, and I probably would not be the same artist I am today, pokemon gave me something I actually wanted to draw.
Oh how I miss the old days, where everything was so new and exciting. LMAO! I remember my first Yaoi XD I had picked up Gravitation many a time in the book store and each time I read the back cover and was repusled. I thought it was a nasty, disgusting idea for a story. Two men, together, how very...EWWWWWW. Then my degenerate friend Meredith, after getting hooked on Inuyasha, swooped into the book store and bought this Gravitation manga. To keep the story short, she said it was good, I borrowed and read it and the rest is history. I have an entire shelf of Yaoi/Shonnen Ai manga. Tis funny, my mom still thinks Seme and Uke are the actual names of the characters XD
