Jen woke the next day at noon. Naruto never said what time she had to be up, so she woke up when she did. She ate a quick lunch and went to meet her "master" at the park again.
When Jen arrived, she found Naruto drawing in his sketch pad. He looked up when he saw Jen's shadow block his light.
"There you are! I've been waiting here for hours! I thought you'd never wake up." Naruto closed his sketch pad and got up.
Jen sighed. "Alright, 'master'. Let's get this day over with so I can get my kitty."
Naruto grinned. "I have the perfect thing to keep you from being a bad girl."
Jen looked at him, confused, as he grabbed the box he was sitting on and opened it. He flipped it upside down as a bunch of cat toys poured out of the box.
Jen stood there and focused herself to one certain toy. He enemy and her friend, a ball of yarn. The lonely ball of colorful string sat there as Jen stared at it.
Jen debated on if she should play with it or not. She knew that if she played with it, she would get tangled up in it. But if she didn't play with it, she would regret not doing so the next day.
She moved on to the toy mouse, only to return and pounce on the ball of yarn. She batted it around back and forth, threw it up into the air. And before Jen knew it, she was tangled up and had no idea how to escape.
Naruto had fallen asleep on the grass 30 minutes after Jen started to stare at the yarn. He awoke to Jen's crying and her struggling to escape her jail of string. He got up and sighed and untangled Jen.
"Thanks Naruto! I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't get out." Jen smiled as she went to go play with the catnip-filled ball.
After a few more hours of playing, Chero showed up. She saw the fun Jen was having with the toys. "Hey Jen, can I play with the toys, too, please?"
Jen paused and thought about what she would say next. If she said no, Naruto would yank her leash and she would not get her kitty. But if she said yes, she would have to share the toys. And Jen wasn't the type to share her things easily.
She finally made up her mind. "Um... Sure. Go right ahead. I was just finishing up anyways." She looked at Naruto, he smiled and gave her a thumbs-up.
Jen left the park as Chero's curiosity gave in and made her play with the yarn that once trapped Jen.
Jen only had one more hour left before she was good to get her kitty, and she needed to find something good to do. Naruto was following behind Jen to keep an eye on her.
Ushio walked up and was whistling and skipping. She stopped immediately as soon as she saw Jen. "JEN!!!" She yelled and glomped her.
Jen fell to the ground as her head hit Narutos leg and made him trip. She wanted to laugh but if she did, Naruto would yank her leash. So once they got up, Jen hid behind Ushio and snickered.
Ushio turned to look at Jen. "You'll never believe what happened when I went to go see Lelouch last night!" Ushio jumped up and down happily.
Jen was about to say something, but thought better of it. "Er... What happened, Ushio?"
Ushio smiled. "Lelouch took me to the amusement park and had the whole place opened only for us two! It was so romantic, just me and my bishie all alone without waiting in line for favorite rides!"
Jen smiled wand thought about Ikuto and wondered if he would ever take her to the amusement park, as well. She looked at Ushio and smiled. "That sounds like it was a lot of fun, Ushio!"
Ushio talked about the night at the amusement park. Whenever Jen had a chance to say something that would get her leash yanked, she carefully thought about it and said something better.
When Ushio had to leave, Jen's time was up. She turned to Naruto and smirked. "Time's up, 'master'. I believe I deserve a kitty?"
Naruto smiled and laughed. "I guess you're right. C'mon, let's go to the toy store."
They arrived at the toy store, and there was only one giant kitty left. Jen had gotten to it just in time. Naruto paid for it and they left the store. Before they left for their own homes, Jen gave Naruto a big hug.
"Thank you for the kitty, 'master.' If I try to be good, will you get me ice cream next time?" Jen smiled innocently.
Naruto laughed and scratched the back of his head. "Alright. You can get ice cream for being good instead of cookies. But you must be good! No good pet, no ice cream."
Jen agreed to that deal and began walking back home, holding her new kitty tightly.
