The End of the Summer

Wow, I can't believe summer's over! We're at the fag end of June now,and come July my vacations will be over. T_T

So, what have done this summer? Nothing much, actually. Just bumming my butt off over trivial stuff. I don't understand what I've really accomplished, except for losing some priceless time.

I've made progress on the animanga front, though. I've seen 2 new series, and begun 2 more. I loved Le Chevalier d'Eon, and am now completely gaga over Ghost in the Shell. Also, during the holidays I've managed to read-and complete-several great manga series. Ghost in the Shell,
Cowboy Bebop, Dominion Tank Police, Claymore-wow, the list is endless.

Another breakthrough has been my wholehearted acceptance of the Big Two of Animanga: Bleach and Naruto. I read the manga for the former, got killed by it, and am now a diehard fan. Same with Naruto, which is currently airing on Cartoon Network. This from a guy who once wrote:

"The series I hate most is Naruto and Bleach, because everywhere I go, it's just Naruto this and Bleach that. I'm sick of it! What's so good about these series anyway?" [From Gendou.com forums]

Well, I was also rewarded for this conversion. I am now officially an acclaimed Otaku! Yes, the title has finally come down to me. I am soooooo happy :-D.

So, in conclusion, I'd say my summer vacations, this one went pretty well. Not in terms of actual chores, or learning something, or extra-curricular activities-but as a dedicated fan of anime and anime.
