We die everyday, yet know not that we die,
That everyday is a series of accidental deaths,
And every meeting a commingling of fates,
We die everyday, that no one can deny,
But what life does this death decry?
For do we die and sleep eternally? No!
We sleep but a little while,
And prepare our children,in their turn, to die.
I wrote this around three years ago. Not my first poem, but one that could be called my finest.
A few days ago, I was talking to my friends back in DC about 9-tailed neko's superlative poem, which he posted in his WORLD. They immediately started bitching: Rei (her name's Rei, I usually add Ayanami to please her, coz she loves her anime namesake) says: "You should've written something too!" I said, "I did!" and then told her the lines. Benji (my other friend) goes: "Dude! You've written better stuff than that!" I'm like, "Listen, guys, I can't write poetry to fill a blog!" They go: "Why the f- not???"
