A smiled, it was just a little one. I could smell a human-vamire, it smelt like both. Deichi was with him, as was Emiko. Cujo wasn't far off. They probably didn't know that I could smell them all the way from my room, but it was the midnight, when a vampire's powers are at the strongest. Not only that but though all vampires senses are hightened, they become stronger with age and power. I looked out thw window scanning quickly over the area. Sharp as a hawks, my eyes found the spot where they converged. I looked at them, trusting my new found allies to do what they needed.I focused on the new person. He looked as young as I did. But I knew better then anybody how decieving that can be. He also looked French. I had seen them before, I had traveled around the world in my many years. As I looked out into the darkness my eyes locked onto his. He sensed it too. He stared at me for a second, flashed a slight smile and then looked back at the others. He had to be over 100 to sense that. There was no other way he could be powerful enough. I decided to set up a greeting for him. Not the sort I had for the others that had recently joined me. No I think his would start with an offering of blood. He would need it to survive. I doubted he would refuse. I could use him.
Eh, I felt like posting and I couldnt just walk out there, that would be too weird. By I, I mean Catherine >__<
I got up, out of the bed and walked to the window beside Cujo. I glanced out and noticed movement. Narrowing my eyes, I recognized Deichi. What was he up to? Where was he going? Pushing open the window, I started to jump out, but Cujo grabbed my arm.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"Deichi is out there. I want to know what he's doing," I replied, "You don't have to come if you don't want to." I morphed into a raven and swooped out of the window. I had no idea if Cujo was following or not because I was flying to fast.
I searched the forest beneath me for Deichi and I came upon him talking to a new person. Someone I didn't recognize. He was a little kid. Correction, he looked like a little kid. I got the scent of vampire, but human was mixed in. Was he a...
"I'll help you," I heard the kid say. "But only if I'm allowed to travel with you're group."
Deichi shrugged. Another one to join our little group of misfits? I swooped down, morphing into one of my most horrifying vampires, baring my fangs at the kid landing right behind the kid. I got a headache from the memories of this vampire and swayed slightly. However, I was able to push it away.
"Deichi," I hissed. "What are you doing inviting this little kid along for the battle?"
Deichi glared at me. "It's no business of yours what I do! If Luc wants to come, it's none of your business." If looks could kill...
"It's my business when we are talking about our lives here," I said back. I was hoping I was scaring this kid. I leaned down and whispered in his ear. "Do you think you have what it takes?"

So now we were supposed to be equals and team up with this little vampire? I was in my room, and thinking over all that had happened. I shook my head. She may be old and powerful, but i have been around since the day the earth was created, and i knew that we could never be equals. "She'll turn on us as soon as she gets a chance." Then there was this new enemy she wanted us to help her fight! "There is only one enemy i have. Why should i go out of my way to fight this person?" I fell back on the bed. "There is always an enemy out there. I dont have to go out of my way to fight them all. I may be an angel, but thats not how it works." I closed my eyes. "Im not gonna stick around here!" Then images of Emiko, Phyllis, Cujo, and Deichi flashed across my vision. They were going to fight. It made no sense! They had no idea what they were getting themselves into! The thought of them fitting and getting hurt p*ssed me off for some reason. My eyes flew open. I stared up at the celing. "Are you trying to tell me something?" There was no answer. There was never an answer. I pulled my knees up and layed my head on them. In God's eyes i no longer existed.......i was no longer one of His children. My eyes started to sting. I lifted my fingers to them and felt the wetness there. "Why?" Then i felt a pressure on my head, almost as if someone had placed their hand there. Warmth seemed to flow through me. It chased away my pain. A voice whispered in my ear. "You will always be one of my children. Do as you heart commands, and all will be forgiven." The pressure lifted. My head snapped up, but there was nothing there. My eyes drifted up, and for the first time in a long time, i felt at peace. "I shall stay with the others."
~Yayyy i finally managed to post something! ^^ I finished my portfolio and all my other work, so my teacher said i could do whatever i wanted for the rest of class...which is an hour! ^^ Im so happy!!! Anyway sorry ive been gone for so long guys. I still dont have internet at home, but i am caught up now ^^ yayyy! So i think i should be good for now.
Phyllis now had a new form. I wasn't that suprised, it often happens with shapeshifters who didn't. What I was more interested in was this new power of mine. It seemed that I could use my power to create physical weapons and shields. They were nearly invisible too. See-through, but shimmery. I had experimented by enveloping a shield around phyllis. With her new form, she could be a danger to herself and other people.
"D*amnit!" Phyllis sighed, after a short struggle
"You want out child?" I asked her, she smiled at me, flashing fang.
"I do... But I think I know something that may wo---" She cut off with a scream and pain filled her eyes. This can sometimes be a sign that the shapeshifter in question has a lot of potential powe
"She has potential?' I asked my head shapeshifter, he has more experience with this kind of thing then I did. Not to mention, we have a partial mind-link.
"Yes" he grunted

After that dream there was no way I could go back to sleep! Getting out of bed I headed for the door and then stopped. If one of Catherine's guards caught me they might not let me go...
Turning on my heel I headed for the window. 'So I won't let them know I went out.' I thought with a grin on my face. Jumping out the window I landed as a normal looking gray brown squirrel. The only un-normal thing was probably the little black heart on it's neck or the fact that it's eye glowed yellow...
Running off into the forest was nice. Being a dragon for a bit, and then again in my dream had been nice but, I still liked the simple animals. Besides turning into something like that took a lot out of me.
Jumping into a tree I stopped on a branch as it swayed beneath my weight. Looking around I climbed higher and higher, wanting to get a good view of the area.
Once to the top a strange scent drifted to me. 'Vampire?' I questioned. 'No...It can't be, 'cause it smells like human too...Huh but the whole world smells like human so I guess that doesn't say much.' Either way I wanted to go see. If this person Catherine wanted us to fight was so strong, we would need anyone we could...
Jumping down from a tree I was about to hit the ground when I suddenly shifted into a hawk to be able to spot this vampire better. Gliding over the forest top I skimmed the ground.
Finally spotting someone I was disappointed. 'It's just a kid!' I thought to myself and then gulped. 'Then again, Catherine looks seven so I shouldn't question.'
Flying down to a tree top I confirmed that he was a vampire..But also human? Was this kid a newly turned vampire and still smells like a human?
He looked around eight maybe and had ashy-blonde hair with red eyes flicking from side to side. Turning to look at me he sighed and opened his mouth to say something, "You know hawks don't live in this area, shapeshifter."
'Hemm he's good.' I thought and jumped down, midshifting while still in the air and dropped down as my human form. "Who are you?" I questioned.
He paused for a second and then answered. "Luc. Luc Delancy. And who might you be?"
"Ha! The names Deichi." I said grinning.
