We were both peacefully resting and eating when we heard gun shots. We both sprang up and bolted into the forest. I glanced back narrowing my eyes. 'I recognize that scent.'
Growling I turned into jaguar. Cujo was fighting one with his knife when one of them took aim at him. I didn't hesitate and tackled him biting into his shoulder.
I released his shoulder and bit down hard on his neck snapping it. "Stupid hunter." I said and dug my claws into his back, even though he was already dead. I watched as blood pored around my paws.
Turning away in discuss I steeped off him and turned back human. I spit some blood out of my mouth and whipped my hands and looked at the two shape shifters that had appeared.
"Who the hell are you?" Cujo asked. I narowed my eyes, curious too.
