We had walked for several hours and now we began to get sleepy. I yawned, i heard emiko yawn behind me. she came up and mentioned sleep to me. Everyone else looked a bit tired as well except for deichi who made some smart comments. It was agreed we needed some sleep. I stepped off the rail road and into the trees there was 5 of us and only one tent. I set up the tent and used fallen branchs and limbs to make a fire. Phyllis found out she had to sleep with boys but when she learned diechi was one of them she didnt seem to mind. The fire was going strong and we had the tent set up. I turned and saw Emiko clawing up the side of a tree. When i looked back aki, deichi, and phyllis were alreayd in the tent. The lantern inside went out and i was left out side. I jumped up limb by limb on the tree till i landed opposite of emiko. I sat there and not a word was said. For some reason i liked being around her. i couldnt explain why. I sat with my back against the trunk of the tall oak and looked at the moon. everyone else was asleep. I looked around the tree trunk and emiko was leaning on it. sound asleep. I stuck my knife in the tree and sat looking for any trouble. I had my sleep earlier at the cave so i was rested. i heard something in the woods. It sounded like foot steps. I pulled the knife out of the tree and waited and watched carefully.
