Claire's intro

Taking another bite of her sandwich Clair looked around her. It was a lovely day for a garden party.. And heck, could she throw a good one. The morning sun was shining down on the grass, with not a cloud in the sky. All the important people of town were there. Some were enjoying the large spread of finger foods; others were relaxing into a friendly game of croquet. Being a high class lady had its benefits. “So?” Lady Grace, one of the guests asked, “What have you been up to recently. I haven’t seen you in ages love.” Before Claire answered she thought about what she could say, for she sure could not tell the truth. Claire lived a double life.

By day she was an elegant lady who knew her way about town, by night she was a hunter of the super natural. It was her job to rid the world of evil, in the likings of demon, vampires, werewolves, pretty much any super natural being. No one knew of this life she kept hidden. To society she was Claire, to the underworld, she was Eclipse. “Well,” She spoke, “I’ve been thinking of installing a new spa.” Really, she had assassinated a demon. “More tea anyone?” She asked. As she was pouring tea from the teapot into the teacups, Sebastian, her butler called to her. “Phone M’Lady.” Claire stood up “excuse me a moment.”

She made her way through the garden, up to the mansion with grace. Her mansion she had inherited from her father, who incidentally, was killed by a demon. That is what sprouted her love for hunting. Her mother had remarried and did not see her much.

Sebastian was standing by the phone waiting for her to answer. She picked it up and held it to her ear.
“Hello?” she asked.
“Is this Eclipse? The hunter?” The voice on the other end sounded scared.
“Yes, how may I help you?”
“Well, I’ve got this terrible problem. Something keeps killing off members of my family. Would you be able to come to my estate and look for yourself?”
“Of course. Could you just give me your address?” Claire jotted it down on the notepad next to the phone. “Okay. Yes. All right, I’ll be there tonight. Midnight.”

And with that she hung up the phone. She returned to the garden, once again like a lady, but her mind was elsewhere. She loved a good hunt, and she had been starved for one for so long. She was looking forward to it. Already the adrenalin was pumping around her body.
