Kitty chapter four; Forgiven
Donavon was pulling on Maria’s arm. “Mistress, don’t blow a gasket…really…” Maria calmed, it showed on her face.
"Donovan, please take their bags up to the guest suite. Except Kitty's. She can have her stuff put into my room. Please make sure everything is ready. And..." Maria paused “please burn some incense…It smells of CAT” Maria said glaring at Kitty.
“Aw, Ria! You have missed me!” Kitty said flinging her arms around her. Maria flinched under her grip.
“Your still my friend, though you DID screw my ‘childhood’ up…and my self esteem…” Maria said this using air quotes “You still psycho as ever?” Maria asked, munching on a bit of sushi. She took a sip of coke out of the can she was holding.
“Not around Victoria, please” Kitty said, slightly amused, but still with a clenched jaw.
“Aw… Does Kitty-cat not wanna tell Ria” Maria asked teasingly.
“Ria, if you want to ask about things like that, ask when we’re alone!”
“Doesn’t Victoria know?” Maria asked, still teasing “about your past?”
“She can wait until she’s had more experience!” Kitty said marching up the stairs. “Do you want to know or not?”
Maria followed her into the bedroom.
“Well?” she asked her curiosity winning. “You still psycho?”
“Yep” Kitty said “but lately my life has been upside down, I can’t take jobs because I have to teach Victoria”
“So, you turned her?”
“Yeah, so I couldn’t leave her, Borac would kill me!”
“Who?” Maria asked, suspicion creeping into her voice. There was not many anymore who could kill Kitty, she was too old and experienced. Not to mention completely nuts. And a shapeshifter.
“Head of my bloodline”
“Oh” Maria said. There was nothing she needed to say, about that.
“So…” Maria said, attempting happier conversation “Any good kills recently?”
“None worth it, no” Kitty said, sadly before cheering up with “but there has been a lot of hunnter activity in this city… Maybe they would put up a fight”
“Don’t get involved with the hunnters Kitty, they’re too much of a pain in the ass”
“We could take ‘em” Kitty replied, the old maniacal smile returning to her face.
