Honesty, the beautiful curse I bear.
For I cannot lie. For this to you, I swear.
Trouble is with me throughout time,
for I can do nothing but speak my mind.
A torturous curse, yet a wonderful gift.
All the feelings I hurt, all the spirits I lift.
Lies, such cruel words that spill from your mouth.
A wonderful gift to you, no doubt.
For me, I'm lost in honesty,
spilling the truth for all to see.
~The whole plot of this poem is for my story character, Foxx E. McCane. In his past, he was kicked out of his home as a child, and wondered the streets alone. One day, a demon drew poor Foxx into the woods, and when the he was nearly dead, a female demon stepped in, and saved him. This demon, to save his life, replaced his eye with her own. Now that demon is a part of Foxx, and part of her power belongs to him. Though, this does not come without a price. Foxx, along with a few of his other powers, lost the power to lie.
Sorry about the long description. This is one of my older pieces, but I still hope you enjoy ^^
