Mission: Find THE Book

Once the gate opened in the human realm Kita stepped out. She was at the park that was pretty much in the center of town. It was a beautiful with the sun shining high in the afternoon sky; children and parents filled the park as they enjoyed the day. Paying no mind to anyone around her Kita started on her way to Urahara’s Shop. She was not far from the park when she noticed a group of young girls walking toward her. She smiled softly and gave a nod of head even gave a wave of hand. Kita turned watching as they walked past she even called out to them. The young girls did or said nothing in return. Kita then realized; no one could see or hear her. She started to laugh as she said aloud.

“That’s right I’m dead to them.”

Just as Kita went to turn around she felt a massive amount of reiatsu close by, just then, a young man ran past her bumping her slightly as he passed.

“Sorry!” he called back to her. He was still running as he looked over his shoulder toward her.

Kita stood there confused as she watched the orange haired boy run up the hill in front of her. “Hm,” Kita replied with a shrug of her shoulders. She then started on her way once more.

After about a twenty minute walk, Kita found herself standing outside the candy shop. “This place has not changed.” Kita said to herself as she stepped forward onto the lot. At that moment the front door slid open and Urahara and the orange haired boy that bumped into her earlier walked from the shop. They both stood there daunted that she was standing there. The first one to speak was the orange haired boy.

“Why did you follow me here? I said I was sorry for bumping into you!”

Now Kita was the one confused, softly shaking her head, “I didn’t follow you. I was coming here.”

“Ichigo! Shame on you for running over Kita,” Urahara told him adjusting his hat as he walked toward her.

Ichigo looked to Urahara slightly annoyed, “I did not run over her! I bumped her.”

Urahara smiled with a clever nod of head as he looked at Kita, “How have you been Kita my dear? It has been sometime since I have seen you… and what have you done to your beautiful golden locks?”

“Hello Urahara. It has been awhile hasn't it?” She pulled a strand of her now sliver hair from off her shoulder looking down at it, then looked to Urahara, “I needed a change.”

“A little drastic don’t you think?” Urahara asked her as he slid his hand to the small of her back. “Come in come in. No need for us to stand out here.”

They walked up into the shop past Ichigo as Urahara turned and looked at him, “Close the door and come join us, Ichigo.”

Ichigo scratched the back of his head looking at Urahara confused, but did as he said joining them back in the shop.

The three sat and talked for many hours. Urahara asking Kita questions she found to be rather odd, though, she answered them to the best of her knowledge. While they sat and talked Kita also got to meet a few of their friends. One was a big guy with dark hair that covered his eyes, another was thin with a good body tone, he too had dark hair but he wore glasses. Kita believed Ichigo called them by name of Chad and Ishida. Even Orihime’s name was brought up a couple of times, but was brought to a quick end when Urahara would have a sudden outburst. Two of the boys Kita could not get off her mind. One with fire red hair they called him Renji and another bald as bald could be, his name Ikkaku. Their reiatsu was strong and they talked of someone that had a nickname of Captain or he was a Captain. Kita was not sure though, his name was for sure Toshiro. That much she did catch from the conversation. While the conversation moved forward between Urahara and the two boys, Renji and Ikkaku, Ichigo was watching Kita. When all of a sudden Ichigo snapped his fingers and announced loudly.

“Now I know where I know you from!”

Kita looked his way then quickly back at Urahara as he said something as well, then back to Ichigo.

Kita blinked a few times then asked, “And where might that be?”

“You use to go to my school. Kita Miyamoto? Right? You were a couple of years ahead of me and your hair was golden color, but your eyes. Everyone use to talk about how blue your eyes are.”

Kita gave a soft smile and giggled slightly, “Yes. I am Kita Miyamoto and my eyes always seem to do that to me.”

“What happen to you? You just disappeared one day.” Ichigo asked her.

Kita was not sure what to say at this point. She looked down to her drink in silence as Ichigo still talked, “I remember the police out looking for you for weeks. Everyone at the school was questioned, and your parents… WOW! Were they freaking out?!”

Kita rose from the table and bowed to Urahara, “I should be going. Thank you for your generosity, Urahara.”

Ichigo watched her stand and became quiet as he watched her. He looked around the table with a questioning look as Renji hit him in the arm. “Way to go Ichigo.”

“OWWWW!”

Urahara stood as well as he popped open his fan, “Are you sure Kita? It would be a shame to see you go so soon.”

Kita nodded, “Yes I need to be getting back to Hu—home. Thank you again.”

She bowed again to the ones at the table, “It was nice to meet you all. I hope I have the pleasure of doing so again.”

They all said their goodbyes and Kita started walking toward the door. Urahara followed to see her out. Once at the door Urahara placed his hand to her shoulder gentle stopping her in her footsteps. She turned looking back at him.

“You're welcome here anytime, Kita and take care of yourself. I am sure you know he can't be trusted.”

Kita turned quickly facing Urahara with a shocked look on her face. At that moment Urahara popped his fan open and was hiding behind it as he blurted out.

“Listen to me! I sound like a father figure telling you to be careful and all!” He then starting shooing her along with his fan in hand, “Run along now and we will see you again soon.”

Kita did as he said and left, looking behind her at Urahara a couple of times as he stood in the doorway of the shop. Finally, she picked up her pace and headed back to the park area to go back to Hueco Mundo.

“There’s always tomorrow,” Kita whispered under her breath as she snapped her fingers and stepped into the opened gate.
