Mission Third Day: Find THE Book; Part 2

When she stepped from the other side Kita was standing in front of Urahara’s Shop. She smiled softly and whispered under her breath, “Thank you Lord Gin.”
“Lord who?” Kita heard behind her as she spun around. There stood Ichigo with a half smirk. “Did I startle you?” Renji was standing there with him his hands in his pockets.

“A little, yeah.” Kita replied with a displeased look. She knew they watched her exit from the gate it seemed slowly and surly they were learning who she was and where she was coming from.

“Come on,” Ichigo said walking past her to the door of the shop. He slid the door for her and let her enter first. He then Renji walked in behind her.

“Hat and Clogs!?” Ichigo announced as the door shut behind Renji.

The three walked to the backroom when they heard Urahara answer, “In the back.”

The three of them plus Urahara sat around the table the silence Kita found them in was a little eerie. Urahara looked to Kita with a smile as he then spoke, “Kita.”

Kita looked to Urahara when he said her name, “Yes Urahara?”

“Ichigo told me what you two talked about yesterday, and I think we need to have a talk.”

Kita went to stand as she announced, “I think I should be going.” However, as quickly as she went to stand Ichigo was standing over her his hand on her shoulder. She looked back at him, “Why?”

“Because I have heard something that doesn't sit right with me and they involve you.” Ichigo told her.

“Please Kita we are not here to hurt you. Only help.” Urahara told her.

Kita looked to Urahara, “No one can help me. I got myself into this mess now I have to live with it.”

“Hm, I would not be so sure of that. Aizen has been looking for you for decades. Maybe even centuries and I feel in some ways he was even leading you in your human life.”

Kita’s eye widened as she sat back down at the table, “How can that be? I am only 19. Well… when Aizen found me I was only 19, and how could he lead me anywhere? My choices were my own.”

“So you believe.” Renji added then went quiet again. Kita looked to Renji with a questioning look, and then looked to Urahara.

“This is where it gets a little hard to believe,” Urahara told her, “have you ever heard of a seraph, Kita?”

Kita nodded, “Yes, it is a mythological creature an angel to be precise. They were cast to the human realm to be and observe the humans.”

“Yes, a creature that should be impossible to identify. All but one way,” Urahara motioned for Kita, “scoot this way my dear and face your left side to Ichigo and Renji.”

Kita did as Urahara asked of her as he gently moved her silver hair from her neck. There a little below her left ear was a small shimmering mark that looked to be a star burst. “It can be seen very well now that you are in soul form, but when you were human it was only a glimmer of your birth right.”

Kita reached up and touched the mark, “that mark stays covered in Los Noches.”

“Of course, Aizen does not want the Espada to know what and who you are.”

Kita turned looking at Urahara over her shoulder, “but some of them do.”

“Only the ones I am sure Aizen knows will not betray him. Your master for one.”

Kita looked off into space as her hand slid over the mark on her neck, “Ulquiorra,” she whispered. She looked quickly back at Urahara, “He is the one that gave me the bell choker. He told me I was to never remove it.”

“A bell?” Renji questioned in a monotone but degrading voice.

Kita glared at Renji as Urahara chuckled softly, “I am sure the bell is because Kita is so silent in her movements. Like any cat she can sneak up on you without you even having a hint of her whereabouts.”

“My resurrection is a Tiger I believe. I have yet to fully resurrect but I believe that is what it is.”

Urahara smiled, “I always felt the accents of a cat from you my dear. It is a good spirit for you.”

Kita moved back over to her spot at the table, “May I ask why all this was brought up?”

Sighing Urahara replied, “Something is a foot Kita. Aizen should have never found you and because he has there will be consequences now that he has control of you. Not just for Aizen but all of us, human and soul alike.”

“Like what?” Ichigo asked.

“That is a question I can’t answer.” Urahara said.

“Who can?” Renji asked, “Would the old man know?”

“Captain Commander is as old as he is wise, but I don’t even think he knows the answer to this.” Ichigo told Renji.

“Only one person can answer that question, but until she can remember her past life as a seraph. She cannot even answer that question.”

Ichigo and Renji looked to Kita as she sat at the table. Shaking her head Kita replied, “Don’t look at me, I don't know anything.”

Urahara rose from the table and walked from the room. While he was gone the three sat in silence. When he returned he had a leather bound book in his hand. He sat it on the table and slid it toward Kita. “Take this to Aizen. It is not what he wanted, but it will suffice.”

Kita looked to the book, “How did you know?” She looked up to Urahara.

“This crazy shop keep knows everything.” Ichigo expressed.

Urahara smiled, “I have my ways. Also there is now someone on the inside at Los Noches. Be careful not to give him away. He is a very important piece to the Soul Society.”

Kita’s eyes lit up as the arrancar she saw yesterday here at the shop entered her mind. She looked to Urahara and nodded. Just then, Renji chimed in.

“I have a question? She is an arrancar. How do you know she can be trusted?”

“Kita maybe an arrancar on the outside, but her soul is pure and innocent. She could never go against what she knows it right.”

Kita picked up the book Urahara gave her, “Thank you Urahara.”

“Just be safe while you trapped in Los Noches. Soon we will be able to free you from there, but until then you need to stay out of harms way.”

Kita nodded as she stood from the table, “I will and I will come back to see you again soon.” She bowed to Urahara.

“You had better. I have grown rather attached to you young lady.” Urahara told her.

Kita smiled and turned to Ichigo and Renji. “I hope to see you two as well, and Ichigo. Orihime is doing well and she is safe. I will make sure it continues.”

Ichigo got a shocked look on his face and then a smile when he heard Kita’s promise to take care of Orihime. “Thank you Kita.”

She nodded and headed for the front door, and toward Los Noches. Her mission was completed, but she felt a little sad knowing she would not be seeing her newly found friends for some time. Though inside she smiled, she finally found out what she was. Now all she had to do was remember her life as a seraph, and keep those memories hid from Aizen. Forever…
