Phoenix and Kitsune

Closing his hand over it, Gin folded his arms and leaned against a nearby tree.  "And why would you give me such a potent gift, I wonder."  He chuckled.  "I've been holding quite the insturment, thinking it would be fleeting, and here it's that perilous.  Are you sure you trust me not to use it wrongly?" he asked directly.

Phoenix grinned his way. “You have me to deal with if you get out of line with it. I think you know that though. I gave it to you to tend to and take care of one of my comrades.” She walked around behind Ichimaru. “Not only is Sumi a friend she now controls one of my powers. Fuego Garra is not a power to take lightly. If she finally gets a hold on him, she will be very strong. Her master might even have a hard time controlling her.”

She stopped behind him and dusted some of the red dust off his shoulder. “It only takes a small amount. Once it is placed on their person they are under your control until THEY die. So if you die before Sumi, she will mourn you deeply.”

Gin lifted himself from the tree and turned around to face her, blue eyes clear and sharp.  "Would she be able to draw on her seraph powers with it on?" He took a step towards the goddess, invading her space.  "If she perfects Fuego Garra, will it be powerful enough to replace those powers?" he asked bluntly.

Phoenix looked into Ichimaru’s eyes drawing her hand to her chin once more tapping it lightly with her index finger.

“Did I leave that part out? I believed that part was answered. Or do you not understand the concept of a slave that you can completely control? Mind. Body. And Soul. Hmm.” She hummed and shrugged her shoulders as she quickly turned from him. “Maybe I picked the wrong guy.”

Watching her walk away, the reaper in white returned the vial to its chain and made to slip back underneath his kimono when a man approached the crying child, reaching into his dirty pocket.

Gin narrowed his eyes, opened the vial, added some to his fingertips and placed it on the man's temples.  Eyes bright in disgust, he hissed, "You will go to the nearest polic box and confess to all your sins, and if you get released from jail, you will use all your time to help children in need until your dying day."  He let the man go.  The man walked slowly past the child and the mother whom had wakened and rushed to her child, crying and apologizing.  The man didn't stop. Phoenix turned back with a sly grin on her face.

Gin shrugged.  "Child abuse is one of my peeves, too."  He stoppered his vial and slipped it under his inner kimono.  "One more question.  Will the Guardian be able to break its hold?"

"Never. We may be Gods, but no one is perfect." She gave Ichimaru one last smile and snapped her fingers vanishing before his eyes. Her voice echoed from from the clouds above once more.

“Take care of her, Ichimaru. I am entrusting you with her life.”

The clever fox strolled down the path, wide grin once more back in place and silver bangs hiding his eyes.

All would be right with his world again.
