Chapter One
Escaping Hell
A snarl, a roar and growls echoed through the mansion. Servants would not look up in curiosity for this was a regular thing. Sercco was torturing his pet once again; it had become an everyday thing since the mistress had her throat torn out by the dog. Most servants looked down on the demon as an ungrateful mutt, but few knew why he was so blood thirsty and wild. What happened to him grown up would be unforgivable if he was more than a slave.
“Cry for me puppy. Cry for me.” Bane clenched his jaws tight a growl growing in his chest. That whip came again this time it ripped the flesh between his shoulders. Blood mingled with more blood, more wounds open. The boy did not whimper or even showed the slightest bit of discomfort to Sercco, that vampire thought to tame him. Sercco sought to do what his mother died doing, trying to tame the blood thirst beast that kills with a slash of his claws. Lucky for the vampire, he had learned from his mother’s mistake and had Bane’s claws removed. He ripped them out himself.
Even though Sercco hated his mother he tortured Bane for killing her. Bane remembered that night vividly, the lashes ceased as a smirk settled on his lips. It was such a sweet victory. He was 16 now but when he first step foot in this place he was 10. His other owners had used him then thrown him away. Lady Aersia Verias was different. At first she was kind and paid a lot of attention to him, he would scratch behind his ears and yell at her son just to entertain him. As he grew however she changed. First it was just small kisses she stole than it grew, she lusted after him. His wildness, his undiscovered power. Bane at 12 killed his first person. A vampire turned by his mistress taunted him, pulled his ears, and the final straw was when the vampire took a sword to his tail. He chopped and his poor aim severed one of Bane’s tails. The vampire cut his tail cleanly in half, and with that wound Bane’s demon was unleashed.
Claws lashed out severely wounding the undead scum. Bane loathed vampires, but what he didn’t realize was his power to bring pain to them. Several days later he watched the same vampire that had been wounded by his claws, carried away, dead. Aersia and Sercco had not been pleased, Sercco pleaded with his mother to kill Bane. Lady Verias sided with her toy; she let Bane keep his claws as long as they were trimmed. Bane obeyed.
However Bane tasted blood again, and it wasn’t long. He attacked Sercco as the vampire boy tried another futile attempt to kill his mother. Bane had crushed the boy’s collar bone with his strong powerful jaws; his trimmed claws also ripped through the boy’s clothes but never did any real damage, however the sheer force used cracked several of the boy’s ribs. It took Lady Verias and three lower vampires had to pry Bane off the Sercco. They succeeded but it only caused Sercco more pain, Bane fangs had dug into the boy’s muscle and when he was ripped away, the demon took a chunk of dripping bloody flesh with him. Bane had dropped the meat and turned on one of the lower vampires, he lunged at the woman’s neck and once his teeth were embedded he bite down. A sickening crunch and the woman’s body went still.
After that Bane had to wear a magic collar the suppressed his demonic energy, he was no better than a human. Sercco while he recovered could often be found tormenting the dog before his mother called, the vampire boy and Bane agreed on one thing Lady Verias was evil. Aersia had changed, once so sweet and tender to her puppy, now she used Bane like his masters before. She would summon him to her bed, and once she was done with him he would be dragged away until she was once again horny. The wolf demon ended up learning about sex before he was even a man. She called him at least once a day but not always for pleasure, no she had started to beat him as well. Not something Bane was too fond of.
That day, it was so wonderful, so nice. He looked out the window and watched as Sercco played. The vampire was never the same after that attack from Bane; his right arm was now useless to him. Bane smirked, he loved that he took away Sercco’s life; the boy would never find a vampire from the royal bloodline to take him now. None of Dracula’s kin, turned or born would want a gimp. The boy would have to settle for a lower class vampire if a vampire at all. The demon smiled he had ruined the boy, though Lady Verias was less then pleased whenever it was brought up.
His room was quiet and shadowed in darkness that even the morning sun could not pierce but even in this dark abyss he found joy. He would stare out his window endlessly or until his mistress came calling. Bane heard the knock and sighed; his eyes were drawn away from the suffering of Sercco to his door. A vampire, just out of reach, called to him. “Lady Verias has summoned you mutt. Why my lady would stoop as low as too take a dog to her bed is beyond me.” Bane waited for the signal that meant his release. The click came and before the vampire had time to even reach for the handle, Bane threw himself against door.
Bane smile grew into a dangerous wicked grin as the vampire screamed bloody murder. He heard as the lowly servant took off down the hall, his screams and yells filled it. The dog just shook his shaggy head and pushed the door open. He could follow the vampire or he could go to Lady Verias. The latter might get him in some trouble, or keep him out of trouble. Bane wasn’t really sure anymore. With another sigh Bane headed toward his mistress’ bedroom. Already the boy was quaking with fear as every step brought him closer to a woman who would use him then throw him back in that dark room. With every step the demon felt his will falter, the hatred that he feed slowly slithered away leaving him an empty hallow shell. Fear then reared its ugly head, it drown Bane with the foreboding images of what the demon’s life would be like.
Bane so consumed by his fear lost sight of what he was doing. A dark oak door, ancient with designs taken from the dark lord’s own coffin rose to stop the demonic mutt. That door, a horrible thing laid behind it. The demon’s ears went back and flattened against his skull, his eyes grew wide with fear. Lady Verias was behind that door waiting for his entrance.
A sudden burst of lights and intense pain brought Bane back to reality. Even though his binds held him secure he swiveled his head enough to see what had cause him such discomfort. There lying at Serrco’s feet was a black fur mass, the hair was drenched in… Blood! His blood, Bane knew it to be true. The demon boy snarled his dark eyes holding a venomous hatred so potent that if it was real Serrco would be dead in a matter of seconds. “You bastard.” Bane struggled against the iron shackles that held him. The cold metal bit into the soft flesh of his wrists, warm blood trickled down his arm cooling feverish skin. The vampire had taken one of Bane’s tails.

A purple haired child sat on a rock craving something into the stone with purple claws. She touched one of her delicate yet deadly claws to the stone, something made a sizzling sound and the smell of sulfur and ash could be smelt. The girl smiled happily at what she had done, a heart was now permanently engraved in the boulder. Raelyn giggled and looked up across the great span of plains that lay before her, all hers. Tahnis had given this land to her but first she would have to rid it of the current inhabitants first. Humans. Such a small task for this young demoness, but her father overly worried had sent her big brother along.
Icy blue eyes watched her, she knew it. Rezic was hiding in his tree, he was always so cold and antisocial but Raelyn knew. Yes she knew the truth about Rezic the blood prince of Moonstar, he was unbearably shy. He did not deal people and if he had to he would glare and look menacing. Rezic would frighten people from him. Raelyn glanced over her shoulder to see if she could find the silver demon. No luck.
“You can’t hide forever Rezic.” With that the young woman jumped from her rock landing gracefully on the soft grass. It tickled her bare feet, she giggled once more. A breeze whipped up, the grass fluttered and the leaves spoke. The wind flowed around the girl, the violet strands of her mane danced with nature. It embraced her. She turned toward the trees a grin on her lips, she resembled Tahnis then. “Race you brother.” With that said Raelyn took off across plains, she ran with the wind.
An intense pain suddenly shot through her, limbs grew heavy and darkness clouded her mind. She didn’t even fell the shock and pain of her impact with the ground. A tall silver haired man stood above her limp body, his cold blue eyes did not even show softness for the one he called sister. With uncaring movements he picked up the unconscious body and put it over his shoulder. Raelyn was small for her age petit. She had yet to become a real woman, she was not yet a temptress and Tahnis that she would become. Rezic knew that Tahnis would be angry with him but this time Rezic was not at fault. The demon looked toward the human village that ruined this land, then to Raelyn. Better not to wait.

Two beings stood among the darkness, both entirely different yet still the same. One a young female with a ghostly appearance. Long purple hair fluttering around her, no breeze moving it, blue eyes bright with life and eagerness yet a chill of evil. The other a young man covered in his own blood pale yet heathly and strong. Bright red hair that made blood envious, and dark eyes that reminded all of the pits of hell. So different yet the same.
The girl spoke. “Who are you?” She already became defensive in this odd place her aura showed with blinding brilliance. A soft purple that was Raelyn. The young demoness stared at her twin without comprehension. The male was so odd, she saw the wounds, saw how his muscles rippled and skin grew taunt trying to accommodate it. She licked her lips and fluttered her eyelashes, her aura faded and she dropped her defensive pose. By his appearance this man looked strong she didn’t want to scare him away; he was sort of handsome though those ears and tails degraded his stature in her eyes. A demon that could not even take the full appearance of human, he was still weaker than she was.
Bane felt the hatred, the pain, the longing for blood leave him when he saw that girl with violet hair. Her eyes gave him freedom, the thing he longed for. The boy didn’t even notice the warm blood that still flowed freely from his various wounds as it tickled down his beaten flesh. Pain once again became a mystery to him as he stared at this girl who looked so familiar. Who are you? Her words echoed in him bouncing around in his skull. Without thinking Bane growled… No it was more like a roar. He was a savage beast tamed by music, but the music had stopped. “I am Silvanoshei Blood Bane, a king among demons and devils.” So it wasn’t true she didn’t need to know that.
Raelyn stepped back at the feral display of power. He dared talk to her like she was just some common piece of demonic trash. “Well Bane…” She spat his name as if it were poison on her tongue. It’s ironic that Bane means that which destroys life, especially poison of a deadly quality. “I know the true king among demons and that’s my father, Tahnis the Rogue. You are merely a human compared to his power mutt.” A cruel smile spread across Raelyn’s face.
Bane, the demonic hellion that was a danger not only to vampires but to the world, cringed at the nickname. Mutt… an insult like that usually sent Bane into a swirling abyss of hatred, but this time the boy kept his wits about him.
Fangs were bared and fists clenched, Realyn and Bane glared hatred at each other. One being divided into two fighting amongst themselves without even knowing it. A sudden crack of a whip startled both; the dog fell to his knees a pained expression on his face. Raelyn just watched as everything unfolded, she didn’t understand why this Blood Bane looked so hurt yet anger. Another crack sent Raelyn scurrying back; she saw the blood ooze from newly made wounds. Ones she didn’t inflict, the young demoness was bright however she already understood the situation. Her laughter filled the air, “You aren’t a king among demons, outside of this odd place you are a servant. No more like a slave.”
Bane raged against the pain, he ground his teeth together and refused to give in, even here, to those wretched nine tails. He felt the nine sharp bones rake across his back slashing deeply into the skin. His anger feed him, kept alive; he would have his revenge against this. Another hit nearly brought a scream from Bane but still he kept silent. His head shot up when he heard that female’s insidious laughter egging him on.
‘Slave’
Yes he was one now but soon he would show them. A growl rumbled deep into his blood covered chest, slowly he stood and faced her. ‘Slave’ Again that word flashed in his mind and his anger spiked he lunged unexpectedly at the violet haired girl. He felt his flesh connect against her soft vulnerable flesh. Bane shuddered as his teeth sank slowly into place; blood trickled down his chin and neck from the wound he just created. He felt the beat slowly as more of the life blood poured out on to him and into his mouth. The demon relished this moment, the killing strike. Bane locked his jaw and jerked his head back. The horrible sickening sound of flesh tearing pleased him. He heard something fall from nerveless, lifeless hands. Already the skin grew colder with the sign of death.
Bane dropped the chunk of flesh he had ripped away from the girl and stood proud. Blood covered him like a blanket it even matted down his hair. But the demon command attention and respect even then. “I might be a slave now….”

A horrible horrified scream erupted from Raelyn. Her hands went to her throat, no anger demon latched onto her, no blood gushed from horrendous wounds. Her skin was soft and smooth and her heart beat with life. She shuddered and snuggled close to a warm body. The girl surprised looked at the body, Rezic held her close, bridal style. His strong arms held her safe secure but still Raelyn worried. “What happened?” The words fell from terrified lips as her blue eyes stared at Rezic wide and huge.
Rezic looked down at his charge; his silky silvery hair fell to cover one of his eyes. The other ice blue stared at her, that look caused a chill to run through Raelyn. Rezic a being both good and evil was colder than that which he commanded, when his voice contained a cold steely edge to it. “You fainted.” The answer was simple and brought forth more questions Raelyn wanted answered.
