I am going insane with happiness right now. Not just one but THREE manga I love are being licensed and released in the USA VERY SOON!
You heard me. Look to amazon for the proof. They already have the dates picked out for the first four~ Here's the article about the first two.
Starting with my favorite Midnight Secretary! A very unique vampire romance. This is a review I wrote for it on Kira's webpage.
Needless to say, I am awaiting this one the MOST. Every time I pick that series up, I devour it and it's such an unique and beautiful story. Beware, friends~ Now that it is indeed coming here, I WILL be making a wallpaper to entice more adult readers into this fandom. *evil grin*
(Yes, Kira, I am silly. But that's fun ^^)
The other josei is Hapi Mari, another really unique love story. At first, the marriage is only a business contract, but the heroine has a way of making her distant husband act out of character and he starts seeing a new way of life. It starts with revenge, a virgin, and a loveless marriage made for both of their convenience. It definitely doesn't end that way. I'll probably write a new thorough review for this one soon.
Crimson Spell is the only long yaoi I seem to like so far. It's a complex fantasy story. A prince is cursed and travels to find a powerful mage to break his curse. The curse tries to kill the mage the first night, but the mage finds its weakness and subdues it sexually. As the demon inside the prince and the mage start seeing eye-to-eye, the prince also starts to have feelings for the mage, but unlike his demonic self, he doesn't want to admit it easily. On top of all that, the journey to breaking the curse leads to beings who want the demon's power and/or know more about the mage's dark past than he wishes others to remember.
I thought it would take a LONG time before any of these would make it to the United States, and I didn't expect Crimson Spell to come at all. It is graphic. I will now try to regain my equilibrium for the rest of the day at work. No promises when I get home~
