I am participating in NaNoWriMo (National Writing Month), though since I was sick for half the month, I am altering my personal deadline to the middle of December, exact date being the 19th, my parents' anniversary. Hopefully I can make that.
My goal this year is going to continue the work from last year.
Last year I wrote 100 handwritten pages, about 45,000 words! I focused on three ideas that I hadn't written on yet. (I chose to do three ideas because I discovered a long time ago that I can't focus on just one idea at a time. It can kill my muse off for a while.) I made the goal at 11 pm, on the final day, after writing at least 6 pages a day for a week, and finishing with 11 the final night.
Needless to say my hand was dead, and due to time constraints and the flow of my mind, my handwriting wasn't at my best. I meant to go back and edit it later. However, I never got around to it. That is what the goal of NaNoWriMo is for me this year, finally editing that writing, rewriting it for legibility, filling in missing names, and maybe expanding some scenes to create a better picture.
And that is where I need your help.
The biggest thing I have been focusing on during busy days at work is filling in names - that and one of my friends said it was holding me back with another story. Most of them are coming to me slowly but surely, but one, which I really want filled, is not, no matter how much I look. So, I am going to ask you. I don't know if I will use your name or tweak it - it's a shot in the dark if it will work - but I want to see what you guys come up with.
