Hey hey everyone,
Woooo! Thanksgiving long weekend!
I'm off to my cottage for much food and drink this weekend. It's going to be sweet.
Excited,

Hey hey,
I figured that I may as well make a real post on here considering the fact that I haven't really done so since Chicago.
Basically I'm working. Plain and simple. Co-op job is moderately fun and interesting though, so it's all good. Not to mention I'm making sweet, sweet monies that can soon be given directly to my University. I wouldn't want them thinking I'm not a poor student, right?
lol.
But yeah, going well. The only annoyance, as I knew it would be, is the whole getting to and from work thing. Since I opted to live with my parents again this semester, instead of renting a place IN Ottawa, I am back to the 45 minute drives every morning and evening. Still, it's not too bad, as I generally get back around 6:30ish. Though I DO have to usually get up a little before 6:30 most mornings, so that's a big negative, especially after coming from my last semester of not having class until like, 10. Man that was great...
So that means I'm usually in bed by like, 9:30, which, once again, is a bit of a change. But eh, that's just the way that it goes.
Still been playing some Halo ODST, but not nearly as much. Other than weekends, I don't usually have much time for games and the like, especially due to the fact that there always seems to be things happening with the family (like last week had special dinner for my sister's birthday, so that ate up a night). But once again, it's fun stuff, just an adjustment.
Work is going well. The two guys I work with (well, kinda, not directly, they just are part of the same team, but we don't actually work on the same stuff) are awesome, so that makes the job much, much better.
Got the rest of the volumes of the Nausicaa manga (I got the first one a while ago) for my birthday. I finally own an entire series! Huzzah! lol.
Thanksgiving weekend coming up this weekend, so Woo! for long weekend. I'm heading to my cottage, which is going to be nice. My family, and all our cottage friends (a rather big group of people, many of them people that my parents have known for most of their lives as well as their kids and so on) have big Thanksgiving dinners at our lake every year, and I have missed the past two due to University, so I'm looking forward to that. It's always so much fun. Cottage life and our cottage friends are so great.
Next big thing after Thanksgiving is of course...Youmacon! It's crazy that it's so close already! The end of the month and I'll be Kamina-ing it up again. lol.
Speaking of which, I plan on trying to find another belt for my cosplay, so that the previous belt + new belt can be combined into one that will become the proper length for the character. I think I'll be able to do that today since I'll be hanging around a mall for at least an hour today (due to aforementioned family happenings and the like) after work. I also need to make sure I still have a good amount of tattoo paint stuff and the hair dye. And I need to order my train ticket. Think I'll do that next week...
Anyways, that's my life right now. lol. Pretty tired, and kinda down due to various things like not really being able to hang out with IRL friends very often, or talk with many of you online friends. Been doing a lot of thinking on a lot of things, which I believe is starting to make me a recluse, lol.
Whatever the case, that's life.
With a tired smile,

Hey hey,
So I was going up the elevator in my office building this morning to get to my floor, and this lady gets on. We start to go up, and then suddenly the lady says, "I really like your hair!"
I'm slightly taken aback, and like, "Oh, thanks!"
"Like, I really like it! It's really awesome!"
I laugh and thank her again. Then she gets off the elevator, and I continue my way up to my floor.
*sigh*
It seems no matter where I am, there are always people around to remind me how beautiful I am...
*shot shot dead*
Laughing,

P.S. YOUMACON AT THE END OF THE MONTH!
Hey hey,
So, I've managed to put up ONE of the videos from Cinematic Titanic. The last one. Which also happens to be the shortest one.
Why have I only uploaded only the one? Well, long story short, the Internet hates me.
And here's the long story made medium sized:
First of all, as many of you know, my parents have dial-up for their Internet connection. And I happen to be living with my parents right now, due to co-op job in Ottawa. Anyways, as one can probably guess, uploading videos is out of the question with dial-up.
So after a lot of work, I managed to try using my brother's College's wi-fi. So I'm like, "Yay, realz Internets. Uploading tiem."
And what happens? For some strange reason, it doesn't work. I managed to upload the smallest video, but the other ones would upload part ways, then just stop.
I have no idea why. Maybe it was my comp, maybe it was the connection, maybe it was the Internet gnomes foiling me. I have no idea (and yes, the videos are all under 10 minutes, and the biggest one was only 200 megs). But it seriously frustrated me. I haven't been that close to being actually angry in a long time.
So sorry Kat and Ryu. I tried. I have been trying. But as of right now, all I can give you is this: the part where we were in the ihop. I really am annoyed. Like, seriously.
I am going to see if I can use one of my friends' connection (he is also on co-op here), so I may be able to get the rest of them up by as early as Saturday. But if not, I really have no idea when I will be able to.
Once again, sorry.
Actually frustrated,

I was looking at the slider thingy at the top of the worlds (the highlight thing that slides across the buttons at the top of worlds, between theOtaku.com, Backroom, etc.) and began to think. The programming for that is really quite impressive. Watching it go across, the distance affects the acceleration, as well as the overall momentum, as the distance at which it overpasses its target depends on its acceleration. I think through many testings one could reverse-engineer the physics of the programming by measuring these variables and solving the systems of equations.
Also, I noticed while playing with it that if you move the mouse quickly back and forth from two buttons (like Backroom and Logout), then the slider gets messed up, and begins to move off in one direction. I did this for some time, and found that the acceleration increased even further when it went off the screen. Apparently there are no boundaries on it. Therefore, I wonder if you made it go far enough off the screen, could you give it such a high velocity, that the number representing it would be greater than the programming variable type used for the mechanic (floating point, integer, long integer, etc.) could handle, and end up causing an error?
