One: I was getting nostalgic, and checked out myOtaku, and ended up on SOAP. And found the comment box where I was turned into "Katsom". lol. Such good times...
Two: I was wandering around my Facebook page, ended up on the University of Waterloo page, and looked at the videos posted there. One of them was of the hypnotist show during my frosh week...the hypnotist show which I was a part of, got hypnotized, and did a crapload of crazy things. Including a striptease. Hahahahahahha....and the video? It is of the striptease part. Hahahahahaha...
Wow. It's only one part of the show, but I am so happy I finally found a video of that thing. I always wanted to see what it was like to see what I was doing on the stage, lol.

I know I'm almost a year late, but I don't even care.
Braid is beautiful.
Braid, an independent platforming puzzle game that was released for the Xbox 360, and very soon will be released for the PC. If you have never played it, you must.
Basically, I was able to buy and download it last night from the Games Marketplace for my 360. I still have dial up and all, but through some various means (which are rather uninteresting so I won't bother mentioning them) I was able to dwnld Braid, Castle Crashers (Castle Crashers is also amazing. Such good multiplayer that is totally reminiscent of Little Fighter 2), and Portal (already beat it when it first came out for the comp, but it's a good game so I got it too).
But Braid...uuuugggghhh. The only word that can describe it is beautiful.
The music...utterly amazing. I love strings. Cellos and violins are soooooo good. I need the soundtrack now.
The art...you must see it in motion to understand it. It really reminds me of the watercolour feel of Prince of Persia (the new one), but Braid does it so much better (although it must have been easier, as it IS 2D). It is seriously like to are in a watercolour painting. It is just too beautiful.
The gameplay...mindblowing. Seriously. It has time-reversal game mechanics much like the Prince of Persia trilogy, but Braid does it so much better. And that is only the basic mechanic. Each level after the first as its own specialty. One level, some things are not affected by time reversal. So you jump down a hole that you cannot get out of, grab a key, then reverese time to before you jumped in, and you will still be holding the key (unlike other normal keys which would stay down in the hole). Another one...no, I don't want to ruin it. They are just too utterly amazing to describe here. You must see them.
And finally, the overall atmosphere of the game. It is just...I haven't been swayed by a video game this much in years. Everything just comes together so well, and then with the story...ugh...the story. It is...amazing. It's beautiful, yet confusing. In a mystical...almost dreamy way. I cannot wait to read more of it. It is told through books you read at the beginning of each world, and the theme of each world's time mechanic is told through the story.
It is all just...too beautiful for words.
I think I am about halfway through the game. I believe I have gone through all but the final world, but I have not solved a good portion of the puzzles in the worlds past the first (which I solved completely).
If you ever can, play Braid. It is so beautiful and mystical...there are very few things in my life that I have ever experienced that are like this game.

So had a pretty freaking sweet weekend. Worked a bunch on my Kamina cloak. I have the collar done now!! Woooo! I also got the fire on the bottom of it started. So basically, the only real big thing I have left for the cloak is painting the emblem. That'll be tough, but eh, I'll have all weekend.
Also cut out the Kamina shades. They're awesome. And I had enough plastic left over that I made a second pair, lol! Anyone want 'em? Hahahahhaahha...
I'll take some pics once I have the cloak done.
Also finished the Physics book I've been reading, Reinventing Gravity. Very quite good. Now I think I'll get back to Fabric of the Cosmos. It's really quite good as well.
And finally, and VERY IMPORTANTLY: CHECK THIS OUT. Hahahahaha...Inphinity made it for me! Hahahahahhaa...and yes Inpinity, I very much so want a swimsuit special.

Yeah, so more little things, so I'ma just gonna go ahead and point form-ize this thing:
- A more than a little sad thing. Tuesday my cat died. She was really quite old though (would have turned 18 this year), and has some back problems, so we've known she wasn't going to last much longer. But it's also really sad in a bigger sense. She was the last of my "original" pets. When I was 2, we got a dog and two cats. And over the past few years those three have all died. It kinda feels like a part of my childhood has died, since I've known them practically my whole life.
Now away from sadness, I don't like bringing it to theO
- On the same day I found out that I have gotten into Japanese 101! I had been on a waiting list, and now I've gotten in! Woooo! I'm rather happy that I will not have to take 5 physics courses next semester. As interesting as it would be (as all the courses are ones I want to take, but I need a break, really)
- Today Adam randomly came into chat and made me a mod. It was so funny. He came in, and was like "There aren't enough mods here. Kastom, you're up." Mariskah was in there, but then I became a mod too. And then Adam left. I swear, that guy is so freaking hilarious in his own weird way.
- Got new books today! Wooo! Got Heidigger's Being and Time and In Search of Time by Falk. Both look really good and interesting. Now I just need to finish off Reinventing Gravity. It's a good book.
Ummm....was gonna write more things, but now it's late (due to chat), and I am very tired.
I gots a driver's test tomorrow. I don't know how driving works for everyone everywhere else, but I can already drive by myself and all, have been able to for a few years, but I still need to take the last test. Then I'm done.
Anyways, super tired.

So pretty good weekend. Actually very good. I FINALLY started on my Kamina costume, lol.
On Saturday I went to a craft and material store, and got all the material I need for the cloak. And, as a bonus, it happened that the store ALSO had body paint for temporary tattoos! So now I’ve got that done and over with! Very happy about that.
I started working on the cloak. Haven’t got too much done, but it’s a start at least. Next part of it I’m going to be doing is the collar, which is the hard part of cutting, as I need to put interfacing in it, so I have to mirror it to fold it over and stuff. And I’m not that great with material and stuff. Lol. But I’ll just plan it out, and it should be good.
My cloak is going to be freaking sweet ass awesome.
Hahahahaha... I’m so happy I found a cosplay that I don’t have to wear a shirt. Hahahahaha...totally freaking awesome...lol!
Otherwise was pretty ‘lax, which was nice. MY Dad was sick, so he didn’t want to do anything, and watched the new first three Star Wars (1 – 3) on Saturday, and the old (4 – 6) on Sunday. And I definitely also watched, lol. It was fun watching the entire hexilogy (is that the right word? Lol!) in two days. I like watching movies I’ve already seen, ‘cause I grab my laptop and play games and stuff, and have the movie in the background. Makes me feel like I’m multitasking and doing a lot, lol.
Also, just want to say: HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEHSZRIAH! YOU’RE OLD!
