Hey hey, I'm Kastom.

I don't like talking about myself, so, uh...yeah. lol. I'm a major gamer, I read a lot of books (physics, math, philosophy, fantasy), watch and read some anime, and spend the rest of my time being annoyed at gravity for restricting me to being able to do only one front flip at a time.

I've posted a few of the articles/essays I've written, so if you're ever interested in reading anything that I have thought about or researched, check out my articles world, Kastom's Thoughts.

And the essentials:

Kastom's Bio:

Birth date: September 10, 1989
Sex: Male
Real Name: Tomas (Tom)
Living: Ontario, Canada
Occupation: University of Waterloo Undergraduate Physics Major

And I leave you with a quote from Adam which sums me up well:
"Kastom is very smart and wise, but sometimes he acts like a n00blet..."

Gimmie your money

Hey,

So weekend was pretty sweet. Saturday morning went skating on the canal (Rideau Canal, wiki it, pretty crazy stuff if you don't know about it). Generally have been going two times a week since January to get some exercise in. Need to keep get back in shape and build up my muscle mass.

Afterward, I went and met up with some friends that are also on co-op here in Ottawa. I haven't seen them in a few weeks due to my trip, so it was pretty sweet. We went and got some Pho for lunch (which I have been addicted to for the last week, after rekindling my love for it, lol), and then we checked out a Comic Book shop place thingy that was right beside my work. And holy freaking crap-ness. Sooooo much anime. It was awesome.

And I finally bought my first manga.

Well, that's not ENTIRELY true, as I DO have the first volume of D.Gray Man, that my brother randomly bought for me once. But I finally bought manga for myself.

I've always felt more than a little guilty for not having any manga of my own, considering the amount I've read (I'd say 5000 chapters or more for sure), but I never wanted to spend the crazy amount of money it costs to get an entire series. But in the shop I saw three-in-one volumes of Rurouni Kenshin, and knew that I just HAD to start buying them, especially considering their price.

Sure, I've read RK over several times, as it was one of my first mangas (come to think of it, it may be my first series I read the entirety of!). But I like it so much, that I really want to support it. So I bought the first three volumes (in one, it's a pretty big novel, lol), and am definitely going to start working my way to buying the entire series. I'm excited.

Also, got a few other little things there. I'm going back tomorrow during lunch to look through some more for sure. There goes all my monies...

Also bought "Reinventing Gravity". Been meaning to get it for a bit now. Looks like it's gonna be a good book. He looks like he's got some cool ideas what with his MOG (Modified Gravity Theory).

I still need to make my "Kamehameha" video. I know I'm not eligible, but I'm totally doing one anyways. It's going to be awesome.

lol.

Man, it's hilarious. Everytime I go on chat, I swear, somehow I say something about Pants, or myself having a lack of clothing on myself. This is awesome.

Hahahahahhahahaha...

Anyways, I'm more than a bit tired. I had a good swim workout today, so I'm feeling pretty tired mentally, and physically. I think I'll go bed.

Always remembering to separate with commas,

- Kastom

P.S. A person in an office near mine said, "Either way is fine with me", and immediately in my head I started hearing, "ANY WAY YOU WANT IT, THAT'S THE WAY YOU NEED IT, ANY WAY YOU WANT IT!" It was fun.

I'm Easy

Hey,

Well now I know that my knees sweat when I'm embaressed. I wasn't aware that was physically possible, but apparently they can.

Damn angst bong. I blame Ryo.

I was talking with a person I work with about my overtime pay for my business trip I did to Vancouver and Whistler, and she was like, "I hope you haven't spent it all already!"
"Nah, I'm saving for next semester of University, that's why I'm in co-op."
"Well that's smart of you."
"Yeah, that and I don't really have all that much to spend it on other than video games and books."
"Don't you have a girlfriend?"
"....No."
"You should get out more and meet some! You're not going to meet many playing video games!"
"I try, but I just don't really...know...where...any...are..."
And I trailed off like that.
lol.

Ah, I'm easy-going and make jokes about my complete lack of females I know (except for you Felxie, doesn't that make you feel special? lol), so I figure I'm doing better than most. At least I have fun being lonely.

Hahahahaha...

And this weekend my friends and I can drink our problems away.

Because that's the healthy thing to do.

Hahahahha, jking, jking...

But really, why the hell did I have to pick Physics?! I should've gone into something like an Arts program or Bio. Then there'd actually be females around me for me to attempt to overcome my appaling shyness on.

GODDAMN ANGST BONG.

Man, I'm sooooo tired. I need more sleep. I have decided to NOT go on chat tonight 'cause I know it'll just lead me to staying up later than I really should. In that vein of thought, I'm going to bed. Now.

Because I'm just that good,

P.S. I saw the news nugget "Now Hiring: Kawaii Anime Maids". Should I apply? I think I could pull off a damn sexy maid. AND I wouldn't have to wear pants. Can life get any better?!

Telling you to do things

Hey,

So my friend Felxie got her article up. Check it out. It's very awesome.

Also, if you have some spare time, and want to read some hilariousness, check out a friend's of mine's site (goddamn grammer, where do I put those 's??), he's very good at being hilarious. Definitely look at his Ottawa article, it's the one "City of Dreams". He's also on co-op here in Ottawa, but he's not from here, so he got some good impressions, lol.

Anyways, short post here, just telling you all that my friends are awesome, and that you should stop hanging out with your own which are obviously less cool than mine. Also telling you what to do, 'cause it's obvious I know better.

Because I'm just that good,

- Kastom

P.S. If I get any more hate love mail from all my fans then I'll have to open up a store where you can get a glimpse of me.

P.P.S. I'm tired. In a fun mood. Lazy odd humour. Don't actually take anything seriously. Although if you've known me for any amount of time, you should already know that. If you're reading this, you're obviously an idiot. Read my self help book called "You Suck, Be More Like Me".

What? You want me to take off my shirt? Sorry, it's already off.

I have no idea either. YET.

Weekend o' Vesperia

Hey,

Yeah, so I basically played Vesperia ALL weekend. Pretty sweet I must say. I'm now over 80 hours on it. And I'm finally at the last dungeon. Barely started it though, and besides, I'm doing the sidequests. I may get around to finishing it this weekend. Man I'd love to do a playthrough again if I had the time....quite a good game...

Funny thing/sad thing about my life (lol): I was doing some Co-op course stuff, and the module was on drawing conclusions and stuff (completely idiotic course), and it was using this example with you having a roommate that was really healthy and you notice:
gets one hour of aerobic exercise three times a week
is careful about what she eats, foregoing fatty foods for vegetables
doesn’t smoke
manages her schedule so that she gets enough sleep
And the amusing thing (at least I found so) was that the first I thought was, "SHE?! I HAVE A FEMALE ROOMMATE?!?! AWESOME!!! DO I TALK TO HER?? DOES SHE TALK TO ME??! ARE WE FRIENDS?!!? IS SHE HOT?!?"

Yes...I lead a sad lonely life. Such is the life of a nerdy Physicist...

Hahahahaha...

Cheers everyone,

- Kastom

P.S. My friend Felxie wrote her first article! Keep an eye out for it. I convinced her to nominate it. lol. It's very good.

Back in Homeplace

Hey,

So I made it back and everything. No lost luggage, so it's all good. And I'm surprisingly not tired. Quite happy 'bout that.

I may try to get on chat tonight for a bit. Tough to say what with me being reunited with my dear and lovely Wii and 360. I need to play vidja games. Badly.

So today it was freezing rain, so my Dad decided that he wanted to work from home. And since I get a ride in with him, I could either drive myself (which I am fully capable of), or work from home as well. My boss has been saying that I could, so I thought I'd give it a try. He said it was ok, so I thought it should be. Turns out he was completely fine with it (made me very relieved, lol). So I just may start doing this more often. I get a good amount of work done; and while there are more distractions, I also find I am more awake and productive. So we'll see.

Funny conversation with my friend on MSN when I went online for a bit to check my email, and told him I was working from home:

Mike says:
let me guess - you've spent 4 hours already on the 360?
Tom says:
no no no
Tom says:
i'm trying to be professional
Mike says:
answer this truthfully - are you sitting in boxers right now? yes or no
Tom says:
hahahahha
Tom says:
no
Mike says:
cuz thats NOT professional
Tom says:
i got dressed in the morning
Tom says:
THEN we decided to work from home
Tom says:
OTHERWISE
Tom says:
this'd be boxers city
Tom says:
where there ain't NO pants allowed
Mike says:
hahaha, good call

Hahahaha...pants. I like what I'm known for.

Cheers,

- Kastom

P.S. Pants, yes, PANTS.
