Hey hey, I'm Kastom.

I don't like talking about myself, so, uh...yeah. lol. I'm a major gamer, I read a lot of books (physics, math, philosophy, fantasy), watch and read some anime, and spend the rest of my time being annoyed at gravity for restricting me to being able to do only one front flip at a time.

I've posted a few of the articles/essays I've written, so if you're ever interested in reading anything that I have thought about or researched, check out my articles world, Kastom's Thoughts.

And the essentials:

Kastom's Bio:

Birth date: September 10, 1989
Sex: Male
Real Name: Tomas (Tom)
Living: Ontario, Canada
Occupation: University of Waterloo Undergraduate Physics Major

And I leave you with a quote from Adam which sums me up well:
"Kastom is very smart and wise, but sometimes he acts like a n00blet..."

Sweet sugary stickies

Hey hey,

So Halo 3: ODST came out yesterday.

Yeah, I bought it. And it's freaking awesome. Firefight mode is epicly addictive and awesomely fun. I now know what I'm doing with my spare time for the next month or so.

lol.

Anyways, thinking about doing some writing very soon. Have an idea for an article, and really want to do another Anime Mythbuster, but I'm not sure what problem/issue to tackle. Any ideas anyone?

Anyways, I'ma heading home soon.

Will probably never put up the videos from Cinematic Titanic due to procrastination,

LOOK IT'S A MAN WITH ANOTHER MAN

GUESS WHICH GOOFY LOOKING GUY I AM.

Freaking...

...glasses broke. Soccer ball in the face broke them. Usually when I get in the face in soccer (which happens a fair amount), it just flings my glasses off, or recently, nothing much happens since I wear my contacts. But of course, I was lazy this time and didn't want to put them in...

Blargh, what a hassle. At least I have my contacts to wear until they get fixed...

Rubbing eyes tired from not being use to wearing contacts this much,

Very tired, slightly sick, but oh so happy

Hey hey,

So I'm back.

Man was that ever awesome. It was so great to see Kat, Cinematic Titanic was epic, it was sweet to see Ryu and shultzie again. Everything was amazing.

Got in to Chicago on Wednesday night, after leaving my work at 2:30 and doing all the flying stuff from Ottawa. It was rather amusing. As we were flying over Chicago, getting ready to land, all I could think was, "OMG OMG OMG, I'm going to see Kat in a few minutes...Wow, Chicago has a LOT of baseball diamonds."

THEY DO. At any given time I could look out the window of the plane and see at least 5-8 baseball diamonds. IT SEEMED EXCESSIVE TO ME.

Anyways, met Kat and her Dad, drove back to their place where I met her Mom and brother. I was all awkward and such at first. It was good.

Then Kat and I did the last little bit of her stats homework, I was laughing and excited at the fact that her homework questions involved Wayne Gretzky. Kat didn't know him, which ended up being a very amusing thing over the next few days (I'm sorry Kat, it really was, lol), as the rest of her family proceeded to tell her that they knew him.

We then watched some of MST3K Hobgoblins, but she was tired, so we stopped.

And then came Thursday. Had to get up early because Kat had class in the morning, and we had to drive to her Uni. So got up and ate breakfast while talking with her Mom.

Drove to her Uni, met her new dorm roomy. Then we went to her various classes (I waited outside each of them and read (still of "In Search of Time", just to let you know Pleiades, lol)).

After dinner food, we made our way to the first night of CT. I have some videos which I'll post eventually. We got stuck in a traffic jam on the way (to which Kat was saying that she'd only accept a "tipped over truck" for a reason), but we made it to the show in time (although barely, lol).

It was amazing. The first night was the best in terms of the movie and riffing (though the other two were still awesome). One of my favourite things was that they made a Bob and Doug McKenzie joke (which I wouldn't be surprised if I was one of the only people in the theater to get it). Overall, freaking amazing.

So got to sleep in a bit Friday, and then we headed off to Kat's Uni again. She had stuff to do that took about three hours, so I stayed in her dorm room. I was like, "Hmmmm, what will take me three hours? Gladiator!" So I watched Gladiator, and talked with her roommate a bit when she came in, before she fell asleep (sleeping at noon is just what you do in Uni).

So then Kat and I went back to her place, and hung out with Ryu for a bit (and Ryu gave me some MANGA for my birthday! You totally didn't need to do that man, but thanks again! It was a good time-passer on the plane rides back here).

Which reminds me, Thursday was my birthday. I turned twenty.

Weird.

I only remembered when Kat's Mom wished me a happy birthday, and I was like, "Oh yeaaaah...today IS my birthday."

Anyways, Ryu left, and then Kat, myself, her brother, and her parents went to her other brother's house where we had dinner (since it was Kat's Dad's birthday also. Weird coincidence, eh? Kat's Dad and I have the same birthday.) So it was very fun meeting her brother and sister-in-law.

Kat and I then left and picked up Ryu, before meeting shultzie at the theater. Got some more videos which, again, I'll post eventually. See Kat's post for a good explanation of the amazingness that happened that night.

After the show, Ryu, Kat, and I went to ihop at 2 in the morning since we were hungry. Got another vid of that. It was delicious and amusing.

So Saturday, slept in more since Kat didn't have class. We hung out, which was very nice, as we'd been doing so much running around. Then went to Kat's restaurant where she works for dinner. It was really good, but I was feeling pretty sick (got a touch of the flu or something), so I couldn't finish my steak. Which made me sad.

The last night's show was once again really good. Met an online friend of Kat's. And a horde of other people from the CT forum. After the show I bought a poster, got signatures from the CT group, and then got a pic with Joel.

We then hung around outside the theater with the CT forum people for quite some time. It was really fun. I kinda felt like I was intruding since I was not in the slightest associated with the forum, but it was still good. Got to see two of the forum members get engaged. It was pretty freaking epic.

Then the CT were leaving, so the forumites and us talked with them while they waited for their escape transportation. Kat got an awesome pic of Trace, and also did one of the most epic things I have ever seen as she phoned Nehz, and then got Frank to talk to Nehz on Kat's cell. Awesome, crazy, fun. And other descriptive words.

So Sunday came, Kat and I hung out a bit until we had to leave. Her Mom told me to come back anytime, telling me that she would set up a room for me so that I could live there as much as I wanted. My plane left at 2:00. Said goodbye to Kat and her Dad, before heading through security.

Uneventful trip back to Ottawa (generally a good thing when it comes to flights), where my parents and my oldest brother picked me up from the airport at 7:00. We then went out for Pho which was oh so good after having only eaten a slice of pizza so far through the day (though I wasn't too hungry as I was still moderately sick).

Went to bed early, didn't even unpack. Sleeping was good.

And now I'm back at work, where it all had started way back on Wednesday.

And I miss Kat.

Feeling very tired, but very happy,

- Kastom

I have to see about a girl

Hey hey,

So in less that twelve hours, and in two plane rides, I shall be in the mystical land of the United States.

That's right. I'm off to see Katana.

With a wave and a smile,

- Kastom

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I just remembered. Tomorrow I turn Twenty.
