Hey,
So pretty good weekend. Went out to a bar friday night with a crapload bunch of other University of Waterloo students that are doing their first co-op in Ottawa as well. Turns out there are a bunch that work in the same area as me. So that was pretty cool.
AND MOST OF THE GROUP THERE WERE GIRLS. I GOT TO TALK TO GIRLS. IT WAS PRETTY WELL AMAZING.

...
I'll just stop there.
Hahahahaha...
Uuugh...I need to work out. I haven't since Thursday. Aggghhh...
I guess I'll start watching Ergo Proxy while doing so, since I finished Gurren Lagann.
Which I guess I might as well just say a bit about.
Basically, I'm horribly torn on TTGL. The way I see it, is that if it didn't have Kamina and Yoko in it, then I would've liked it more. Don't get me wrong, I love those two characters. Hell, Kamina is quite possibly my top favourite male character from anime and video games (Tamaki from Ouran, and Ike from Fire Emblem are two other contenders), and Yoko now has a place in my top favourite female characters from anime and video games (Sheena is still top though, and I doubt she'll ever be booted from that spot, lol).
But that's the problem. The show introduces these two AMAZING characters, but it ends up that they are merely side characters in the show. Basically, if they had not been in it, I would've appreciated Simon much more. But since they were, I just ended up hating any part of the show that didn't include them (which was pretty well the entire thing it seemed).
True, the last two episodes WERE unbelievably epic. But come on, of course it was. They killed off like every character, and are fighting for the damn entire Universe. A show that CANNOT make that epic obviously blows.
Basically, TTGL is a hard decision for me. The start I did nothing but LOVE. The middle I hated with a passion and was actually laughing for several episodes at how unbelievably bad it was. It was laughably pathetic, and horribly stale, predictable, and boring. Then the end it managed to claw it's way back up to above the "Average" level.
All in all, I'd call this show schizophrenic inconsistent. At least for me. As such, I just cannot say how I feel about the show overall. It's just impossible.
I don't know if I'd watch it again, or if I'd recommend it to others, but I have to admit that I AM happy I watched it. Even if it did put me into a small state of depression after Kamina died.
Anyways, that's my take on it. Fans of the show, 4TT4CKZ0R5!!
Still needing to work on his Kamina cosplay,

P.S. I used a Yahtzee joke. lol.
