Hello there, this is Katana, also known as Kat in some circles. I'm your friendly neighborhood twenty-two-year-old illustrator/writer whose sarcasm is second to none and harboring the ability to verbalize the parentheses in stories. I drink coffee and draw like an addict and am liable to get you into things that I like. Currently the wielder of a BFA in Illustration and a minor in English.
Questions? Comments? Death threats? Feel free to PM or message me in some iteration. I'm always around, you just don't know it.

Yesterday, I started the beheamoth task of cleaning my room. I do it on a whim every once in a while (about...twice or thrice a year). In essence, what happens is that I recycle a garbage bag of school papers and one or two small bags of trash. I'm environmentally sound, I guess.
Yesterday, however, I wanted to do something else. I wanted to rearrange things a little bit, to see what else I could do...Basically, this meant swapping some furniture around, as my bed, dresser, and bookshelf are the same place as they were.
For kicks, I took pictures of each phase. (The text might be a bit hard to read in places. I had to use Gimp instead of Photoshop.) Phase 1 comes in the middle of the mess and the point where I decided "HEY LET'S MOVE THINGS!". Phase 2 is essentially the 'almost done moving things' part. And Phase 3, which is a pre-cursor to how it looks now. I should probably clean up the closet area today. >>;
In other news, I'm thinking about dying my bangs. I was inspired by a friend who had hers streaked in silver, and I thought, hey, that'd be cool. It's not like it's overpowering or anything, and it would just be three or five (odd numbers are pleasing...blah blah...) sections of my bangs. The color? Blue.
As for the shade, though, I'm not sure...I have brown hair, though in today's world of magic, doesn't mean a lot. But I do want the shades to look good together. Light...navy...vibrant...dull...ANY SUGGESTIONS?! o3o
Because the Watercooler isn't really for news and I'm not a member of the Bootleg News Reporter...ehh, I can gush here...
AnimeExpo. Lucky west coast bastards get all the good announcements. Case in point: FUNi has released the voice cast for Ouran, along with the fact that it'll be released in two 13-episode box sets (snap; how much do those run?).
Though their official site, as of right now, still has 8 minutes and 9 seconds to go before the announcement. Eh, that'll appear before the conclusion of this post. Woooh.
...
Well, I just wasted the past ten minutes at the site, and then when I refreshed after the counter hit zero, it reset to...a month.
As much as I hate wearing all those patriotic clothes (and how much my mom loves them), I'm not one to not celebrate the birth of mah country. Zeh United States of America!
I feel there is no better way for me to share this holiday with you other than showing you a video from my all-time favorite parody series...
In other news, I have procured a laptop. A Gateway M-151X...in PACIFIC BLUE! To go along with my theme of naming inanimate electronic and expensive objects after bishounen on my list, the lappy has already been dubbed Piers.
It shall be arriving next week.
Anyways, happy birthday America. Despite everything the past few centuries, we've managed to survive 232 years. Here's hoping we make it to 233 with no problems...
So my dad, being the brilliant electrical engineer that he is, somehow managed to wipe out the harddrive while trying to make a back up.
How the fack that happens is beyond me.
And, well, yeah. Documents, pictures, music, webbers...gone. I was able to salvage a few bits of writing, but...oh, my poor picture collection...
Though my mom agreed to buy me a laptop as a sort of early graduation present. It's not going to bring back my stuff, but at least I won't have to worry about idiots wiping the data off.
