Wtf is that I don't even
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Or if you're in my circle, Turkey Day! Today is the day of feasting on dead birds and vegetables ripped from the ground, or, if you're weird, stuffing. Whatever the heck stuffing is.
I'm thankful for a lot, some stuff that I can't quite sum up and others that I can. In short:
- My family, particularly my parents, for raising me right and being supportive of my endeavors.
- My friends, whether far away or right down the hall.
- My future roommates of Terumi, Jiaqi, and Deborah, for being great and generally awesome people.
- All that I have and am able to do and accomplish.
- A certain timey boy for making my days better.
- You folks, for being baller.
That's it for me being a sap. Food's on soon, and there's eleven guests coming (wtf Mom) for dinner. Have a good one, folks!
Thanksgiving break! YAY!
Except mine will be spent working on projects. NOT YAY.
But we got an additional weekend to work on our Painting final! YAY!
Japanese art history proved to be my drag today. As everybody was going home, I had to hang around the dorm and wait. And wait. And wait. Then class came at 6 and it was possibly one of the longest classes ever.
Oh well. At least I brought Iris. (Reason: I had everything in my car before class and didn't want to go back to my room, so I put her in a water bottle and brought her along.)
There was also a slide that asked "Fuji? Hawk? Eggplant?". I got excited 'cause I knew what it was about. 'cause of Azumanga Daioh.
Today is November 22nd. 'gome already made a post about it being Jade's birthday. So happy birthday, old fart. *brick'd*
Today is also the "birth" day of Tati, only one of my favorite characters ever. Well, I assume today is her birthday, based upon a post I made last year and scan dates. tl;dr, it can make black holes.
BUT SOMETHING BALLER HAPPENED!
We got the townhouse!
So I have a place to live next year!
I HAVE AN ADDRESS THAT IS REALLY REALLY MIIIIINE!
I think the guy said we have unit E? Now I'm just thinking of Ward-E (YouTube: Christian Dior bra and panty apron MST3K). I bet others of you are thinking of WALL-E. And I assume more of you are going "wtf, why should I care".
But wheeee~
Now it just comes to down to finding stuff. Namely, a bed.
- Looked at apartments today with my usual brigade. After a lot of discussing, number crunching, and some very easy persuasion of parents, we settled on a townhouse. We're going to try and sign for the unit on Monday.
BALLER.
- My former boss at the art building has commissioned me to make the logo for her new business venture. I repeat, her logo for the business. My mind = blown, but also very excited. And terrified.
BALLER.
- My friends/future roommates continue to relentlessly tease me for liking someone. The only adequate response I have is to continuously head/table.
NOT BALLER.
The good thing about college, or, at least, my college, is that once Thanksgiving hits, you're almost home free. We have one full week and then finals are the week of December 6th.
So that's...two...five...seven days of schooling left! Baller!
What's really awesome is my lack of major projects. Whereas my foundations (Drawing 1, 2, 2D Design, and 3D) all had major projects that were stressed with heavy importance, neither Illustration nor Painting have those. We have projects due on the final, yeah, but they're like, you know, just another project. (Life Drawing? Ha! I love the prof, he's like "none of you guys are life drawing majors, so why should I give you guys a final?" Awesome.)
That leaves Japanese Art History, which I've done the term paper for, so - nope. English? It's like an editing party. Sociology is the only one with a "real" final, and it's, well, sociology. So...yeah.
But with my finals being so casual, I still have a lot of work to do. More reading, writing, and of curse, drawing and painting. So woooh my life won't be easing up until winter break actually hits.
In other news, me and my friends are looking at apartments tomorrow. We're just touring a few to see if we like them or not, nothing major. We decided to look into that venue of living for our junior year, if just because our parents are getting irked at the price of dorming. It isn't something we're completely dedicated towards, however. If we don't find something we like, then we won't do it. Pretty simple.
And finally, I have a lot of back-tracking posting I need to do for The English World. Haven't updated it in a while and, while I know you guys don't care, it's sort of a personal recording for me. I'll be putting stuff up bit by bit within the next few days so as to not totally assault your backrooms.
(11/21: Man, I completely lied on this one, huh?)
