Hello there, this is Katana, also known as Kat in some circles. I'm your friendly neighborhood twenty-two-year-old illustrator/writer whose sarcasm is second to none and harboring the ability to verbalize the parentheses in stories. I drink coffee and draw like an addict and am liable to get you into things that I like. Currently the wielder of a BFA in Illustration and a minor in English.

Questions? Comments? Death threats? Feel free to PM or message me in some iteration. I'm always around, you just don't know it.

I am painting a mothereffing TARDIS for my final Painting project.

Well, the inside. Of my own design.

So awesome?

So awesome.

Last night, I decided that I want a pair of white goggles for whenever I get married. Seems to be a much better fit than tiara.

Relaying this to TC had me expand this idea so that I want to have a fancy top hat and a white suit of some kind. Feminine, but still a suit. I hate dresses, you see.

Then I decided I want my husband to have a matching top hat and a monocle.

Jiaqi pointed out that I should get married around Halloween, then everyone would have to come in costume. I added that it could be Mardi Gras.

Then Terumi wondered if my parents would be down with it. lolno

Our assignment due in (roughly) two weeks in Illustration is the alphabet. We were each given a letter, randomly pulled from a container of Maxwell Coffee (blegh) and now have to make pictures with those letters.

I have the letter P.

I'm keeping a log of random words on my mirror (wooh window crayons!), but I'm also trying to form proper sentences with them. If you guys have any suggestions or random words, then feel free to post away.

In short: Halloween, creeps, SoFA

(Round 1 for Movie Sign Rewind voting is up! Vote plz kthnx)

Ahhh...had a lot to say, but a busy week as usual crept up on me. Plus, there are just things I don't have the energy to talk about but have to.

- Halloween was last weekend, and I had a good time. I wore my 11th Doctor costume on Friday (the 29th) for extra credit in Sociology - even though I'd been planning to do it since day one. This one's the favorite photo from the day.

- In the case of the missing student whose case has been turned into a homicide investigation - they've caught a suspect. Well, last week they did. The creep (certifiably one) is being charged with sexual assault, murder, and arson. Yes. Combine the three, and you have an idea of what's going on with that.

My mom told me she's going to go to his court hearing, which I support. I finally got to hear opinion on the whole thing, since I haven't been home in a while: As expected, she is especially bothered by the situation because, well, there's me, her daughter, going to the same school, same dorm, same major, doing the same things.

So...that's what's going on with that.

- Today was SoFA, an art show at Navy Pier in Chicago (it was in the back part, with the white roof). Freaking huge! But very cool. I think it was more of a 3D showcase, tons of glass work and sculpture and just lots of sparkly things. In particular coolness were these glass bottles with varying themes; I link to that one because it had a camera inside it so we were trying to cram around it and get a picture.

Looong day, which involved lots of walking and lots of coffee. So really, it was a good day.

- Tonight I we get an extra hour of sleep! How awesomely awesome is that? I'm going to need it, since I have to go out tomorrow and get lumber for Painting and then work on a painting for Painting. Sigh.

Stars and Scarves

Or, "Kat is feeln' braindead and not quite up to making a real legit post just yet". Another story with the duo nobody cares about, the Doc and Tati. In short, they stargaze, and no, it's nothing beyond that. Inspired by the awesomely gnarl...
