Hello there, this is Katana, also known as Kat in some circles. I'm your friendly neighborhood twenty-two-year-old illustrator/writer whose sarcasm is second to none and harboring the ability to verbalize the parentheses in stories. I drink coffee and draw like an addict and am liable to get you into things that I like. Currently the wielder of a BFA in Illustration and a minor in English.

Questions? Comments? Death threats? Feel free to PM or message me in some iteration. I'm always around, you just don't know it.

Wrrryyy

Whyyyyyyyy am I awake at 5:15am. Well, if you know me, you probably know why.

What makes this ridiculous is that I worked...uh...seven hours ago. You know, I came home from work, dead as all get out and just ready to collapse, and then I saw that I got in home in time for "The Lodger" repeat and it all went downhill from there.

But gawd, I haven't been awake this late since the Doctor Who New Years Marathon on BBC America. At least that had the reward of "The Unicorn and the Wasp" at the end...

I ramble. I shall go to sleep.

Another friggin' meme and other things not memes

Well, just 'cause I can, have a meme. A post with some content is on the next page, so, you know, skip ahead if that's more you speed. Ganked from Angel Zakuro, though it's TC who linked me to it. The list has 72 common fears. I chec...

Between a rock and orientations

This is one of those times where I have so much I want to write that I don't even know where to start... and so I've avoided writing anything for the past week, lol. - bellpickle

Which is really a total lie, I don't expect this post to end up very long...

Sooo...Let's see. Last time I posted was about me getting accepted into that art show. Huzzah awesome! Bad part: I have to get those bloody things framed. After about five minutes of thinking, I came to the conclusion that it would be much easier and cost effective for me to make the frames myself.

And this is where my mom puts the guilt trip on me. See, we're supposed to go down to Georgia in a few weeks to see my grandparents and celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. Yes, that is amazing and a reason to celebrate. The problem is that this majorly conflicts with my Geology class, and the professor hasn't given me a straight answer as to if I can take the third exam (the final) early or not. I need to ask him about that again.

The trip has totally fallen apart ever since my uncle passed away, and I'm not even sure who's going anymore. Is it just me and my parents? Are my aunt and cousins going too? My brother and sister-in-law aren't. So if I don't go, I'll get guilt tripped. This is denied by my mom, but she constantly keeps dropping things here and there - "I don't know how much longer have with my parents" - that eats away at my guilt-ridden conscious. Aghahaghahahhhh.

"What's the big deal, it's a vacation" some of you may be saying. Well...not quite. This is the kind of vacation where we "relax". That is because there is nothing to do down there, and the day revolves around eating breakfast and eating dinner. I think the major reason for conflict with my parents and these vacations is that I don't need/want to relax whereas they do. They're busy, I'm not. I don't need to be 2,000 miles away from my house to relax. I just end up going stir crazy.

Baaaaaaaaaaah.

Anyways, I've started up them thar orientations at the university. Tuesday was so awesome, I ended up swapping numbers with these two girls who are in my dorm. :V Thursday, not so much. Thursday was transfer students who are so not fun. They're not excited, they're a bit bitter, they're grouchy...and most of them are commuters so they want as few days as possible and get mad if they have to come three days a week. Don't get me wrong, there were a few in the group that were good, but you know...

The major problem with people signing up now are that, well, classes are closed, or only the ones that are at obscene times are open. Registration has been going on since what, March? Yeah. And I feel rather intimidated because these people are older than me and are grouchy as it is. >__>

Dang, my fingernails are long. A lot of my typing has been with them rather than the actual fleshy parts of my finger...[/random]
